My first memories start when I was about 6 months old and continue with great detail through my childhood including learning how to walk. Most people I talk to don't remember much before about age 4-5 years old so I was wondering if there are any specific aspects that would lend to a better memory and if you can remember being an infant, let's see your chart too! Here's mine,

6 months old? I don't wanna sound rude but sorry that is not possible. Ones brain is not developed enough at that age to remember things from that age later on.

Its more likely you remember remembering things from young age. Or well that is what memories really are, the rememberance of remembering something, thats one of the reasons why its so easy for eye vitnesses who has vitnessed a traumatic event etc to remember details wrong. Its likely you developed memories from looking at photograps, our videos of yourself from that age. Or listening to others talking about your childhood and that way imagined the scenes while listening and made them into memories. I'm just telling what scientist says about memories and brain development.

I have very clear memories from 4 years old and up. I even remember the nightmares I had our the halicinations I had when I had fever episodes. I remember what I felt and why etc. Were clearly. The reason is, I through all my childhood looked back and remembered things so the memories was kept alive. But, its from 4 years old and up as said. I have clear memories all through my childhood and teens up til now. I always get baffled when I encounter people who don't even remember things from their 12 year old self or teenages, like, it seems very weird to me. My parents are like that, very bad at recalling that much, only a few memories, let alone remembering their feelings and reactions to things.

I have Neptune in 4th, those are good at remembering their childhood. Nothing other then Lilith in cancer 11th. Virgo asc, mercury opposite pluto. Virgo true ruler chiron conjunct the moon.

Those aspects are my explanations for me having clear childhood memories

There are no photographs for me to look at and no one had told me about going to a zoo. I clearly remember my father holding me and seeing a lion. I can't remember any other details except the lion laying in the grass and a parrot to our left sitting on someone's arm. When I described what I remembered to my mother, she remembered stopping at a rescue on our way to wherever we were going that day. I can clearly remember standing on wobbly legs and falling down, I don't know dates or anything like that but I have very clear memories starting from infancy. It's fine you don't believe me, my question was does anyone else have memories starting before the average 4-5 years old and if their charts have any similarities to mine.

I have excellent memory. I contribute that to my Cancer Mercury, Sun in the 8th house and (maybe) my Neptune in the 1st.

I don't remember much, but my bro tends to remember things in detail, when I tell him what we used to do back when he was super young, he goes like "ohh I remember that....blah blah blah....*then adds extra details which even we don't remember(typical Sag Mercury)* and then even we go "ohhh really ??????"(sorry to have added too many apostrophes, but I guess people are used to it by now....just adding extra details )

I do that too lol. My mercury is in Aries in the 12th house. Does he have anything in cancer? I've been reading that cancer or moon aspects might play a role in helping memory. My moon is conjunct Pluto opposite mercury so maybe that helps?

^ Yeahh, Saturn in Cancer I think, plus Mercury conjunct Pluto, in Sag. One thing I that kinda irks me abt Cancer placement's memory is that, they have this tendency to bring up how I wronged them like ages ago, that makes me go "Huh, should have told me right then right??....why now after decades later? or maybe could have waited for next life aye ??"""""

How did you exactly feel at 6 months ? if you feel like sharing ..

I have this vague memory of back when I was a kid, of being totally alone, I was walking around school pretending to shout my classmate's names as if I was playing with them, but the truth is I wasn't, but I had to pretend coz this pretty teacher(on whom I had developed a crush) kept checking out who was playing and who wasn't. Whenever I try to recall my early memories(which are not much) I remember that one very well....It was such a weird feeling tho, atleast I have perceived it as such for most of my life, of being totally alone, yet not lonely...just alone..

I read your zoo part, I dun remember how old I was, perhaps 1 or 2, but I remembered this huge dark cage for a long time, I remember having nightmares of it lol, mom says just when we were near it, but I remember it being a bit far, a leopard growled right near us...I dun remember that leopard growling but I remember myself crying and someone trying to calm me down. Perhaps that is why everytime I remember the cage(which I visited numerous time after that), I still feel fear in my heart..

LOL not true for everyone!! Yeah, sure, most people though.

But I have heard people reply this when I have told them about my own memories.

I have memories even from 3 months I started speaking in whole, coherent sentences by 6 months (my family gasped xD), and walk, and dance (badly lmao) by 1 year old. I've even got an old photo of me at 1 year doing a dance while listening to grunge on an old cassette Walkman.
I remember being a year old and going through a box of cassettes one by one and rocking out xD

@Don your chart looks somewhat similar to mine, if only due to intercepts. I always attributed my memory to my 3rd house Cancer (3rd house being the mind).

With the lion I was completely interested in him and fascinated. It was a male with a huge mane. That's probably why I've always loved cats my whole life! Not being able to walk was very frustrating and my legs were really wobbly.

Yep, by a year old I was talking and holding real conversations with anyone that would talk to me. I'm recorded reciting the 3 bears story perfectly at 14 months old and my memories really take off from there in even more detail. I'm thinking this has a lot to do with cancer and/or moon placements for others who can remember being such a young age too.

ok well I do have one memory from when I was around 1 year old or younger, I remember a scene and my parents conversations from that.

But its impossible so I don't know if its a true memory. My mom remembers it and the conversation I remembered and told her about, and she was baffled and said I was too young to remember.. anyways I guess science is very behind as usual...

Cancer placements, maybe, but I believe pluto and its alike would be stronger then a sign.

I have pluto in scorpio in my 3rd. Excellent super clear memories. Aspecting my mercury and sun. Neptune in 4th as said.
And saturn-uranus-neptune and pluto are all aspecting my mercury and sun.

Moon is opposite saturn-uranus in 4th house.

I have several of the placements mentioned in this thread, but definitely not a good long term memory. My memory is very good in the short term, but give it a few years and I can't remember **** . I remember almost nothing from before I started school and overall very little from my childhood, an never with any accuracy.

I have Mercury/Mars/Midheaven conjunct in Cancer. Capricorn Neptune conjunct IC. Sagittarius Saturn in 3rd. Also Moon in Virgo, which you'd think would be detail oriented and good at remembering, but no... Moon is in the 12th though, which I guess might impact memory negatively? And I'm very Gemini/Mercury/3rd house dominant, which does feel like it's better for short term than long term memory.

My brother on the other hand seems to remember everything from when he learned to talk onward. And all sorts of details... like what day of the week his birthday was when he turned five etc.

He has a couple placements in Cancer, but not Moon or Mercury, just Venus and Jupiter which don't feel as relevant... Cancer is on his 8th house cusp. Mercury is in Leo in the 8th, sextile to 9th house Moon in Libra. His Moon is his most elevated planet and conjunct Midheaven. Saturn is in Capricorn in the 1st house (but his Ascendant is in Sag) loosely conjunct Neptune, square Moon and opposite Jupiter in Cancer.

Here is my brother's chart if anyone wants to have a look at it: http://i.pinimg.com/originals/b6/b8/b7/b6b8b7ede2a1a33e5d5ba631e75ecf75.jpg

Your chart is similar to mine. Chiron conjunct ascendant, uranus conjunct descendant, and cancer on the cusp of your 3rd house. Your moon is also in cancer, it's ruler so I think that would add to a good memory.
