What do you guys think about this placement as a whole?

Is it expected to dominate all other placements; since Mars is associated with Aries and the 1st House is the original "house" of Aries, ruled by Mars? Or would it depend on the entire context of the particular natal chart?

I have this placement, but I might as well have an Aries Mars because I'm very direct, straightforward, slightly aggressive, athletic, and quite "masculine" for a girl. Not to mention, health, fitness, bodybuilding and lifting weights is my LIFE. The gym is my second home away from home.

3rd House Leo Mercury
6th House Sagittarius Moon
1st House Cancer Venus
1st House Martian/Arian Cancer Mars

I have this placement as well. actually my sun is conjunct as well, laying on the 12thhouse side, and mars is just on the first house side.
It's hard to say if the mars aspect dominates because my sun is there too. I am VERY gemini, which is the sign this all lands in, I am athletic, direct and strive to achieve goals in life and often do.
I am a fitness nut as well, play sports, stay active and LIFT!

People who have this placement can vary widely in personality or how action oriented or assertive they are.

No, not in my view.

Yes, as always. For example, a person may have Mars in the 1st house, maybe even parallel the Asc (if not conjunct), but if Mars makes a soft or strong aspect to say Neptune, and there is say Cancer on the Asc, Mars won't necessarily have the strength it has in other charts. For example, if Mars is in the 1st, but makes stronger aspects and more of them to planets like Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, and especially if a Fire or Air sign is over the Asc, then you're going to see a more obviously Martial personality.

This presents a couple types of scenarios for the person (as a soul). One is where the soul has a less developed, active and strong Mars energy built up in their history. The other is where the person needs to develop it more, thus chooses a birth chart with Mars emphasized to stimulate that.

That's a good example of the difference between Mars just being in the 1st house and it being (conjunct and) closely parallel the Asc (both near 23° declination)

Thanks Kannon! Question, why do they say a 6th House Moon is similar to the Virgo Moon archetype, but Mars in the 3rd House is equivalent to having Aries on the 3rd House cusp?

I have Mars conjunct Asc in Scorpio exact (in 12th) and I know someone who has Mars in Scorpio in the first. We both aren't highly invested in weight-training but I have thought about taking it up many times. I just haven't because my current occupation (hardwood flooring) is already physically demanding so I get my workout there.

The latter of us has a harder time controling her anger than I do, however I can be very aggressive/confrontational when I'm ****** off. I'm not usually one to start arguments but I finish them. I used to have a hard time resonating with these qualities when I was younger but as I get older I embrace this energy more and more as it's what I need most in my current stage. I've been told that I'm brutally honest and won't sugarcoat things.

I have Pluto and my Sun in the 1st house. Pluto is a higher octave of Mars, so both energies are similar but slightly more intense. But I can relate with your personality and hobbies. GYM is love.

You'll obviously project a strong Martian personality because Mars is comfortable in his ruling house, the first house, house of personality. Like wise with a sign's ruling planet. It goes hand and hand between cusps just the same. Mars is a representative of Aries, always carrying over Aries style of traits wherever the planet is located. Having the Moon in the 6th house will make it behave in similar ways as a Moon Virgo cusp because the the 6th is Virgo's ruling house.

Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone
