Today I remembered a boyfriend I had many years ago.

This guy had a peculiarity.

When he was happy, he was extremely clean.

But when he had some bad time,
His room was a real mess, he accumulated garbage, threw things to the ground, etcetera

At that time I was not interested in astrology, so I do not know what is the birth chart of him

What could explain this behavior?

severe depression, that's a common thing severely depressed people do

issues with moon, mercury, and 6th house tend to indicate it

Aspects that show externalization of emotions (like Moon square Jupiter) plus potential for alternating poles in moods. Plus, it is somewhat likely he had a water signature (lots of planets in water signs).

I have this issue too, but not that extreme. When I live alone, I behave like that.

After marriage, I manage to deal with it, consistently, because I need to create clean environment to my family. I can't stand disorganized home or dirty home (but if I live alone, it depends on my mood)

I only have water sign in venus, but my moon and mars are in water house.

Moon conjunct Jupiter.

Depression, pure and simple. If they were dirty all the time, I'd say it was something else.

Depression is excusable in a normally disciplined person, where it's out of character. At least you know they will return to normal again after a bit!

I lived with a so-called Aspergers person for a while who kept blaming their behaviour on their condition, it was just laziness. A number of people I spoke to about their hygiene have no idea how I even put up with it for over 6 months.
