Do you find that it matches what your chart suggests you would be good at? I have Moon in the 6th house so what ever I do has to be something that helps or serves others. People say I’d be good at 8th house related careers. Like Psychology, Mortuary Science etc. And while I do like those subjects. I also like Dental Hygiene I feel that I would be helping and would really be a service to others. More so than I would be as a Psychologist or Counselor. I could talk to people about how important oral hygiene really is.IP: Logged |

Well... I have Sun in Gemini 9th, Mercury and Mars also in the 9th but in Cancer and conjunct Cancer Midheaven. 10th house is empty. Mercury is my most dominant planet, 9th and 3rd houses have stelliums. Mercury in mutual reception with Virgo Moon. My Pisces 6th house is empty. I'm a librarian, and I feel that fits very well with the above. It's a service profession, fitting with Cancer/Pisces, but also a very Mercury/Gemini/Virgo/3rd house type profession, and one that demands higher education, which I did abroad (9th house). My Moon is in Aquarius in the sixth house. And the ruler of my 6th house is in Capricorn which is Saturn. Saturn trines my Mercury, parellels my Moon, squares my MC and Venus.IP: Logged |

I was just about to post something similar to this question. I don't think my career reflects my chart in any direct manner. I'm a welder (yep, I'm a woman) and I have moon (29°40 libra) conjunct Pluto (0°7 scorpio) in the 6th and saturn conjunct mars in the 6th in scorpio. I've worked in hospitals, edited manuscripts for authors, cared for disabled people, reading charts for friends and family, a custodian at an elementary school, a tax accountant, joined the national guard (medical discharge), and recently did a complete 180 and learned to be a welder. Nothing in particular points to any of those but, with a packed 6th house and Aquarius on the mc I'm kind a jack of all trades. I also have a stellium in the 12th so there's always been a pull to the metaphysical world too but I won't make that my profession, it's just a hobby. Neptune and Jupiter in the 8th help quite a bit with that, everything has seemed to come very natural as well. I've studied psychology on my own and had plans to go into similar fields but I don't want to waste time and money going to school for so long. I loathe traditional college/schooling (since my very first day in kindergarten until I got my GED at 16) and can't follow through the ridiculous classes and rules. I'll be home schooling my own children after we move closer to my new job 😊. IP: Logged |

You asked me in thr previous thread more details about your career. And i still stand by what I said there. But what is interesting here is to note that like me, you are a person who likes to get "in there" and help people more from tangible real ways than from a distance seated in an armchair. I think i may have overemphasized Gemini energy and not enough Virgo(also ruled by Mercury). Because the "oral hygiene" you spoke of is very Virgo. Dentistry is very Virgo too. And what you said there makes me think that you like "real time" sense of completion more than too much psychological "this will take time" sort of helping? IP: Logged |

I look at my MC and North node. They are both in Aquarius. In my 9th house. I have asteroid “child” conjuncting mc and n. Node. It’s also in my 9th house of higher education. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and am continuing my education with a bachelors in Early Childhood studies. With it this Aquarius conjunction I know I am an advocate for children. And my style with children is letting them be who they are. This is also my first year as a preschool teacher. Previously I was the assistant for 8 years. IP: Logged |

I'd say yes definitely. I'm a script writer and film maker and I LOVE making up my own characters and worlds and plots. It's just so exciting. There is nothing better than seeing all on screen. MC in Pisces, sun in Pisces. (Sun conjunct MC) Sun in the 9th house (I studied abroad as well as in the country I was born and I studied several different subject because it took a while for me to figure out what I really want). depends how far apart they are. My sun is at 24 Pisces and the MC at 27 Pisces so there is a conjunction. I have hard Neptune aspects hitting both though hence the long time of confusion until I found my path IP: Logged |

@Aries23Degrees well yeah I could speak about Dental Hygiene. Stating why it’s important to have healthy oral hygiene. Or I could become an instructor after working in the field. Some Dental Hygienist switch to teaching.IP: Logged |

As i said, Mercury seems to be important. So mental /oral faculties are likely to be used. Whatever it is must allow room for movement, room for change and migration to other things. Because Mercury is duplicitous and gets bored very easily. You will not be an oral hygienist all the days of your life. IP: Logged |

I will also be a Massage Therapist so if or when I get tired of Dental Hygiene I can always switch to that. I’m in my 30’s at some point I will have to settle on something regardless to what the chart says. How long do you think I can continue to be in school for different things? Let’s be realistic I’m not 18 or in my 20’s anymore. And I’m not even good at public speaking. I asked what you meant my Mental efforts but you never explained. I really have no idea what that could mean besides Psychology. IP: Logged |

This is my chart and you can see I have a lot of planets in my 8th house. [/B][/QUOTE] Aries 8th house energy, that sounds fun! I would also look to your N. Node. From what I remember north node is our destiny. I suppose destiny for most people is their careers. If you want to go down the asteroid rabbit hole I would see what asteroids you have in conjunction to your north node. I personally think it’s fun to see if the asteroid names in conjunction to my planets connect to my personality. For example I have asteroid Astrowizzard conjuncting my Mercury Taurus in the 12 house. In the 12th house I do like to keep my astrology knowledge behind the scenes. It’s something I don’t like to wear on my sleeve when I am first introduced to people. I only like to talk about it if people are receptive to it. Some people say I should make it my job. I see it more as a hidden hobby. And will do it for friends and family for free. Though I am too busy when asked sometimes since I take my work home with me now. I would see if asteroid Hygeia is prominent in your chart. She is the goddess of health. I have moon and Pluto in my 6th house. Not sure what Scorpio moon and Pluto have to do with my work life. I am slowly moving on up. With moon, part of my job is to nurture. But I do what I can to not be moody at work, since they pay me to be professional. I have 8th house in Capricorn. With Uranus and Neptune here. I’ve over idolized dream jobs of the past, and also totally rebelled with peoples expectations on what my career life should be. I certainly have interest in watching and reading about crimes, and a mild interest in occult things. Now that I think about it, I have my second house in Jupiter in cancer. Part of my income is to nurture children. Sounds like dental hygienists is worth going for! Part of knowing if it’s right is school/training and job related to field. IP: Logged |

I have Midheaven in Virgo. Many people and cookbook interpretations have suggested I'd be good at service-oriented careers. Well, actually, no, I would not be good at them. I'd be terrible at those and I'd be miserable.I'm interested in being a writer though and that's probably how my Midheaven manifests. All my Midheaven transits relate to my career as a writer.
