I heard that although Mars in Aries is a very powerful and energetic placement, its exaltation would not be felt by the chart owner if it’s not aspected to at least one other planet.IP: Logged |

False. Two different things. Mars in Aries is a sign placement it is what it is. Aspects are interactions of energies between planets. Unaspected planets will still manifest its energy. It just means there is no interference from other planetary energies. IP: Logged |

Exactly. An unaspected planet is the best way to understand how that specific planet works in that specific sign and house. It makes it more simple in a way. In this case the sign gains great importance unlike aspected planets where for example a Capricon Venus in hard aspect to Uranus would end up being Uranian instead of Saturnian but an Aqua Venus in hard aspect to Saturn would be more Saturnian.
