Friend of mine told me of a girl she's known forever who seems to.... not "notice" men. She seems to have 0 attraction to them physically, but is not gay, so she says. She's never been with a guy though. Or a girl. What I was told is that she generally doesn't notice them, doesn't find them attractive really. When looking at couples, she'll completely forget about the guy and only notice the girl's fashion and aesthetics. She paints but has never painted a man. ever. One kinda shocking thing she did was look at a painting and say "what a pretty girl." And someone said that was actually a young man.... What astrologically could give someone.... "dude blindness"? for lack of a better word... IP: Logged |

Without publishing her chart it's hard to say. It Could be that she seeks emotional intimacy (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) Or Maybe she has problems in her life, which prevent her from thinking about the boys. IP: Logged |

sounds gay to me, not everyone who's gay or bi is comfortable with their sexuality or open about itlot of environmental factors can contribute to that, and since heterosexuality is often pushed in some manner it tends to confuse people and some of them take a while figuring **** out but shes only looking at or painting chicks which says a lot, i guess she could be one of those rare people who considers themselves asexual but thats unlikely at the very least she clearly appreciates women physically IP: Logged |

Maybe. But the thinking about them, about the "denial of men" is so striking. Even that little mixup with looking at a boy and ONLY seeing the feminine aspects to the point of denying or not seeing it's a guy.

she might just be into femininity regardless of gender, there's people like that too with a strong preference for femininity or masculinity but not as much for gender or she does like guys but also femininity which is why she rarely finds men attractive since most guys aren't hard to really say i suppose, but i've been enough people's stepping stone (or been asked to be) to know that **** isnt clear cut for a lot of people + being bi myself i'm not sure what it would be in a chart though that would manifest as that (cant guess either because i have no preference at all personally) IP: Logged |

She could be like me. I'm asexual and aromantic. I don't get sexually or romantically attracted to people. So I'm neither straight nor gay, but I am more aesthetically attracted to women. Seldom do I pay any sort of attention to a man's appearance, only if he is very androgynous or borderline effeminate. Doesn't make me gay though, since I'm not sexually interested at all. I haven't been able to find out what indicates asexuality in the natal chart though... Asteroid Sappho is said to be indicative of women attracted to other women, so one can have a look at that. I have it conjunct Amor and my name asteroid, so who knows... maybe I would have been lesbian if I was at all sexual. IP: Logged |

Hmmmm this could be a similar case then. Do you actually overlook men in general sometimes?
I am very curious, can I look at your chart?

I wouldn't say I overlook men completely. I have about as many male friends as female friends, so platonically I'm equally attracted to both genders. But aesthetically and sensually (what I find beautiful and what I want to touch and be touched by) I'm pretty much only attracted to women/femininity and sometimes androgyny... very seldom men/masculinity. Oh, thank you for that! I had a small inkling there might be some Virgo involved, and Pisces/Neptune. You've got the moon in the 12th. For some they think Pisces can be very asexual (as can Aquarius). And Virgo, well, they're often into androgyny, or are so themselves (especially if men). I also wonder if Neptune IC plays a part, being Neptunian at your core. It's also a very feminine energy.

Could she be asexual? There are people who don't identity with their sexual side. Androgynous people in my day would state clearly to their friends (a couple different ones I knew) that they just had no interest in 'any' sex. Suffice to say they were also extremely intelligent people. I think they were more mind oriented. Modernly they might be considered possibly like asbergers or any other lables a psychologist might deem them. I think it's fine if someone doesn't wish to establish that side and then I've heard of late bloomers too. Maybe this person just hasn't 'yet' caught up to that particular facet of human nature.IP: Logged |

interesting what you said about virgo, since i don't know many and i don't know any virgo guys aside from myself, definitely true about androgyny i'm not typically into it in someone else but i'm androgynous myself and come to think of it one of my female virgo friends alternates between androgyny and femininity never made the connection, especially since most people blame my ascendant/venus libra conjunction IP: Logged |

Could be a combo! Who's to say?But whenever I think of Virgo for example, I can't help but remember that singer that a girlfriend of mine liked so much (posters everywhere! he's seared into my brain). He's virgo trinity. Sure he puts on makeup and shaves, but is still quite androgynous IP: Logged |

yeah that virgo friend and i had a long discussion once while i was on acid about how neither of us really cared much for embracing gender stereotypes and felt comfortable on that line of androgyny and about men and women we've been with and how irrelevant we find what the other person is when connection matters moreher chart is almost mine, 4 days apart so her moon is gemini rather than aries and her rising is taurus rather than libra we have similar health issues too funny enough, similar addiction issues (though i have her beat there) we've compared charts before because whenever we do talk we click perfectly (she's the only person my fiancee ever seems to exhibitcany kind of jealousy towards which always throwss me off) never wouldve made that connection though so it's interesting i actually vaguely remember when chicks were obsessed with that guy btw lol feels like a million years ago IP: Logged |
