Would Taurus Mars in 10th house be like a Capricorn Mars? Aspects are square Moon, trine Saturn and trine Mercury. IP: Logged |

it would still be like a taurus mars, the houses don't make it so that the sign is completely irrelevant neither do the aspectsif you were to paint a picture of a tree it'd be a tree no matter where on the canvas you placed it, and no matter how you colored it; a moon in 10th house is no different than that the house placement is important so are the aspects they add depth and color and detail but they don't change the entire picture IP: Logged |

Mars in Taurus is way different than in Cap. Lot less depressing, quite a good income generator, can be a little simplistic at times and not necessarily attuned to the finest things, though they will normally do something in the arts or construction. Can be obtuse in the way only a Taurus can be. IP: Logged |

Thank you both. I have read that aspects and houses are just as important as the sign so was not sure how much of an effect it would have. IP: Logged |

Mars trine Saturn(as Saturn aspects Mars) has Mars energy controlled towards a more "productive" end.Saturn is restraint. And Saturn on Mars advises Mars to use its energy sparingly. So as I said before, Saturn on any planet lends its energy to that planet. And so by virtue of Saturn in aspect to Mars, this aspect may increase similarities to Mars in Cap(ruled by Saturn). The position being in the 10th house would suggest that this "productive" outcome engineered by Saturn's influence, would be in effect in matters pertaining to the 10th house of public reputation, career aspirations and ambitions outside the homelife. Would this add similarity to the Mars in Cap position? Yes.The key word here being "similarities" as Saturn naturally rules the 10th house in the solar chart. So this person would likely to apply a lot of tenacity, resilience and steadfastness to how they pursue their ambitions. People who look at the native from a distance will notice the restraint in approach & cool-headed determination to "keep at it" etc. and ofcourse with Mars in a Venus ruled sign of Taurus, its likely the native will either look good whilst in pursuit of goals, be the type who is known for their looks or work in an environment concerned with beauty and aesthetics etc. Taurus tends to bring tangible beauty or creative expression to the environment it functions in etc. So working in a beautiful environment or one that is beauty conscious(cosmetics shop, hair salon, flower shop, art gallery, retail clothing store, wedding venue etc) is often the result. I have a 10th house Mars and a lot of my energy is very much focussed on getting ahead professionally. It s a Pisces Mars though so there definitely was confusion involved as to what the ideal profession for me was. A Cap mars probably wouldn't have endured such a long time of confusion and lacking of direction. but once I was sure that I found it, my energy and focus is very much on.IP: Logged |

10th house Mars does not necessarily predict success. It certainly predicts reinvention. Very difficult placement and I should know! Though Mars in Taurus might be OK with it, Mars in Gemini is another matter (completely conflicted energies - Gemini/ 10th House is gonna make things intense). IP: Logged |

For my Mars in 10th house my sign comes last. Its in 10th conjunct moon and chiron, opposite saturn and uranus. My mars acts muuuch more like a capricorn mars and uranus mars then a gemini, the sign it is in. The opposition is more potent then a trine of course, a looot of push and pull. IP: Logged |

Thank you Aries23degrees! You are always so descriptive and spot on. This is my mars and I am exactly how you describe it. Hard working and have a cool-headed determination as you describe. There is definitely some sort of control too in the way I do things. I think these Saturn qualities manifest more at work than in my down time or social settings where the Taurus Mars shows more. I work in the interior design field, so again you are right! Thank you. IP: Logged |

I have read Mars in the 10th house is a late bloomer in their career. Probably the delayed Saturn effects of the 10th house? So this could very much be a quality of the Cap Mars?

Yes I think the earth qualities of Taurus and Cap definitely blend where Gemini and Cap could be conflicting. IP: Logged |

I agree that aspects and house placement can have an effect on the Mars or flavors it as some say. Mars is the most aspected planet in my chart and I think is a cameleon because of this. Different situations bring out the different aspects. IP: Logged |

i don't have my mars in the 10th house, but it is cap and i'm all about lacking direction and focus, with plenty of confusion IP: Logged |

No problem. I am appreciative of your response as well. In Chaldean astrology, Venus rules the 5th house of creativity and 12th house of privacy. I ascribe to this notion more than the traditional 5th house ruled by Sun. As I have met more creative and artistically inclined Taurus people than Leo's. What's interesting about Mars in Taurus is that it is the one position I know to "actively" like to bring beauty ,aesthetics and refinement into tangible form i.e either through the external environment or through their physical appearance. Mars in Taurus us always thinking in terms of refinement or "betterment" i.e the Vase would look awesome on my book shelf or this meal could use more sauce etc. My gym mate has Taurus Mars. He is an aspirational bodybuilder and takes part in " Body beautiful" contests and other related events(modelling etc). For him, the Mars in Taurus "carves" out his beauty from a physique point of view. He admires a good physique and presses me to do more(I am a lazy Libra Mars) because he says I have good form for bodybuilding. This love of beauty extends to things he owns i.e his car, apartment and clothes. He is strongly aesthetically inclined and he even joked that he chose his wife strictly for her looks(which I actually believe) IP: Logged |
