Example for me, the last 2 guys I love and saw as long-term partners have several similarities.

1) Mars-Jupiter aspect
2) Venus conjunct Saturn
3) Mars sextile Uranus
4) Mercury-Uranus aspect
5) Neptune aspects Sun/Moon/Mercury/Venus
6) Pluto-Moon aspect
7) Leo/Cancer/Virgo inner planets

So I tried to see from my natal why I'm attracted.

I've Sag dsc ruled by Jupiter in Aries (Mars). That explains (1).

I've Pluto/Uranus in 5H and both aspect my Sun. Maybe that explains the attraction to Leo? Uranus/Pluto in 5H may also explain why I like their Pluto/Uranus energies? Still doesn't explain why they both happened to have Moon-Pluto, Mars-Uranus though.

My Neptune aspect Moon/Venus/Mars and it conjuncts Dsc so it explains (5) as I attract people with similar Neptunian energies.

I've Draco Mars in Cancer so that may explain my attraction to Cancer. My Draco Sun/Mercury are in Virgo and Virgo also turns my t-squares (one of them is a love-config) into grand crosses so this is definitely very attractive for me.

I can't explain (2), (4) especially (2) Venus-Saturn but I'm really curious about this aspect because a lot of my close friends also have this aspect, so it seems people with Venus-Saturn really like my energies. Why?

Clearly I'm still stumped over some of the attraction factors so if someone can further explain it for me, I'll really appreciate it.

my fiancee has all of these in her chart (uranus and saturn conjunct sun, aquarius ascendant, scorpio mercury and scorpio venus conjunct pluto sextile neptune, mars in pisces conjunct jupiter sextile neptune), but my ex and old fwbs i've had have all had these to a lesser extent as far as i know

all of them have also have had personal fire placements typically sag or aries (in my fiancee's case it's both sag sun aries moon) and all of them were born early december- late january now that i think of it

only been with sag,cap,and aquarius suns which is pretty funny never thought about how the entirety of my sex life has been people born in the same 2 months til just now lol

i'm not really sure what it is, with the cap heavy people i wouldnt say i was drawn in; i don't really care for that energy
they were more into me (in spite of my cap mars, but that could be why they like me)

though i can appreciate hard saturn aspects because i can relate to them having sun-saturn

not sure what's with the scorpio, i have sun sextile pluto and in placidus a 1st house pluto and maybe thats enough

with the pisces, in placidus my 5th house is aquarius/pisces and my pisces jupiter ends up in the 5th + i have sun trine neptune which explains it also explains the aquarius (though my eros is also in aquarius and i have uranus in easy aspect to my venus, mercury, moon, ascendant and hard aspect to my jupiter)

edit: also with the sag it's nearly always that their sag placement hits the kite in my chart or falls in my 3rd house (3rd house is prominent in my chart and a good deal of my friends have something in sag even when it isnt romantic, i love sag energy) and with aries that's my own moon/descendant so it makes sense

Yes, I believe if you will bother to do a check you will notice a pattern, which I did.

That Sun-Pluto + Pluto 1st house is why you attract Scorpio/Plutonic energies.

I believe my 5th house Pluto + Sun-Pluto are why I attract people with Pluto energies, particularly Moon-Pluto not sure why (but not necessarily Scorpios).

And thanks for reminding me of pattern completions! People with Virgo placements turn my t-squares into a grand crosses so that explains the Virgo attraction. 👍

i just remembered my mars-neptune as i was reading what you wrote, which would also factor in, rather than just my sun-neptune

i always say i don't have a type because gender and lookswise i don't seem to, but you made me realize i definitely have a pattern with people i go for/end up with astrologically which is pretty funny

edit: with the t-square to grand cross thing i actually havent noticed that for me at all

i've been with one guy with a cancer mars but it was nothing serious, no one else and it was just sex (cancer completes my moon-mars-venus t-square) and i don't normally pay much attention at all to cancer placements

That's a love-config you have with Moon-Mars-Venus and I've the same configuration! Something that LeeLoo said in another thread - that people with Venus/Mars receiving hard aspects in natal (esp if they're also involved in a t-square/grandcross) will be attracted to people who make hard aspects to their Venus/Mars (and most attracted to those completing the pattern).

Of course you're not gonna be attracted to everyone with Cancer placements like I also don't go around falling in love with Virgos. There must be the basis of love first... and if that person you love also has a planet that completes your configuration, it will add to the attraction.

i wasnt actually into that guy and i've never really cared for anyone with any cancer placements though funny enough

edit: my fiancee doesnt make any hard aspects to those planets in my chart, only easy ones (her sun is sextile my venus, trines my moon, and her mars and venus both sextile my mars)

i actually really dislike hard aspects to any of them, and like i said not into cancer energy

Juno(Marriage) in Aries in 1st opposite Mars
Juno(Marriage) in Aries in 1st opposite Pluto
Moon(home) in the 3rd/4th square Mars.

Judging from this, the domestic scene is one of "strife" or disputes. So it seems I am attracted to people who stay away from me or don't re-enforce that sense of inner tension by getting too close

Pluto-Mars midpoint is opposite Juno. And Juno forms the missing "Kite" shape of my natal T-square. So it is elevated in importance(despite its "asteroid status).

Mars(traditional ruler of the 8th) conjuncts the 7th
Pluto(modern ruler of the 8th)in the 7th
Pluto rules both Venus in Scorpio which is also close to the 8th as well as Saturn in Scorpio.

As such, no-one must come close to that inner tension. And perhaps that is why excitable people irritate me and calm/intellectual types draw me in?

The number of Ura/Sun,Ura/Moon, Ura/Ven and Ura/Mars I have attracted are too many to mention. I think they sense(from an unconscious level) that I am tense enough "as is". So I can't be bothered to have someone being too "needy".

Add to that Uranus is in the sexual intimacy house(8th) and its ruled by Jupiter. Again, I don't want someone too close to me whilst Sun/Neptune both impact the 5th(also ruled by Jupiter).

Physically they are attractive and resemble me. Like we could be brothers. Other times...twins i.e same height,body type etc.

Just thr other day I was with an excitable person. It felt so uncomfortable. I ended up fighting with them but when they got calmer after the fight, we got on better.

I think I dislike a "performance". Just stop thinking that you are on some tacky reality show where the loudest cast member gets the most tweets/love. I am not about that.

True, I hate noise too and I'm not even heavy Saturn (Saturn sextile Sun/Mercury, trine Mars). Perhaps it's because Sun/Mercury in 12H so I like my tranquility?

It's not strange at all because earth moons match your scorpio moon (and they turn your grand trine into a kite!). Also, your entire family has earth moons so you're very comfortable and familiar with their energies.

You attract Aqua Moon friends because it trines your Gemini Sun (Sun-Moon match) but to me Moon signs compatibility triumphs because your emotional landscapes are similar. They understand your emotional needs and you understand theirs.
