I'm just curious to hear the perspective of others instead of relying on one persons' experience living with Mercury square Uranus.

Yes, in hard aspect or conjunction.

I have the opposition and contra-parallel. My thoughts are naturally quite rapid and erratic, hence why I find it very difficult to quiet my mind. I always feel like my mind needs to fixate on something that could pique my interest since I get bored very easily from the minutiae of life. My interests lie along the unconventional and otherworldly, usually anything that is not easily predictable and trite, finding the usual boring. I feel overwhelmed by the amount of information out there that could satisfy my curiosity and yearn to acquire as much as possible.

I only lash out if I am aggravated by another person, but I have difficulty expressing my thoughts in a cohesive manner. There are times where I can say things that are unexpected too, usually where it involves me being pretty vulgar or uttering something that is complete nonsense. I am much better at expressing myself through writing, but even then I often feel like I have so much more to say, but can never get it "right" (for a lack of a better word) in how I wish to say it, and end up being frustrated with myself. Thus why I am much better at getting my voice heard through writing, but my chosen form of expression is to depict my ideas visually, finding it much easier to express myself through visual symbolism.

Lo and behold, the many different tangents I just went off on, lol.

Hahaha, thanks girrlll! What's your aspects' orb? What sign and house placement is your Mercury in? Anything significant going on with your 3rd House?

No problem. It's pretty wide, 6 degrees. But the contra-parallel is less than a half degree, so it magnifies it just a tad more in intensity, I presume. Mercury in Cancer in the 4th opposite Uranus in Capricorn in the 10th. I only have Sun in Cancer in the 3rd and the house is ruled by Gemini. Uranus also makes a contra-parallel to my Sun. Oh, and Mercury makes a parallel to my Sun too.

I have Mercury square Uranus in my chart. It has an orb of 4 degrees.

Sometimes, yes, I do have a racing mind, but this isn't at all times. Lashing out at people, however, almost never happens for me, because I prefer to avoid doing this. If I'm pushed to the point of lashing out at you, this either means normal communication has gone out the window or I'm in significant physical pain.

My mother saw a doctor about foot pain at one point and that doctor purposely tested her claim by inflicting serious pain on her foot to make sure she wasn't faking it. If a doctor did this to me, I'd get infuriated and snap on them. The doctor would probably also hear me cuss and anyone within earshot would hear it.

When I was in the mental hospital, a nurse ripped off the bandage that was on my arm after I had blood drawn and it was safe to remove it. I screamed at her for how she removed it, because it was too fast and it caused my arm to bleed. I apologized for yelling at her right after that, but that nurse was scolded later. So, physical pain pushes me to lash out pretty easily.

My experience is that I think much quicker than most people I communicate with. Many times they can't follow me because what's logical for me isn't for them or I just expect them to understand steps I haven't explained (because I thought it wasn't necessary). I'm also interested in everything unusual and also taboo (but that could be mercury in the 8th). I hate following the crowd and I never have. I've always been quite individualistic in the sense that I tend to not try to fit in whereas everyone else does. I have an unsual way of seeing the world around me. My mother has that, too and I just checked: she has the same aspect as me at about the same degree (2 degrees)! She has a very quick mind and the way she connects the dots is so unique and also very funny. She is one of the funniest ppl I know and I'm quite funny myself if I might say so. My middle sister has that aspect as well and she can be extremely funny as well. (seems to be a family theme in my family).

Agree with Ami. I have a step-father with Mercury-Uranus conjunction in Leo. He used to roar a lot and it used to scare us silly.

I think he may have enjoyed intimidating us as kids(Sun in Cancer parallel Pluto Leo). He was a bit insecure when it came down to his ability to assert himself.

In his chart Chiron opposite Mars/Pluto.

Hi Moongaze,

Does your cancer mercury happen to be not only opposite uranus but opposite neptune in capricorn as well? I know someone who like you has mercury in cancer opposite uranus but also opposite neptune, both in very tight aspect at 1 degrees and he really tends to confuse me. He often spurts out these super strong, surprising statements in a way you wouldn't doubt for a second that he means it, but then a week later he will say the exact opposite (with equal conviction). Initially, I was so confused by his behaviour that I thought he was lying when he made these statements, but I've come to the conclusion that with mercury opposite uranus he means exactly what he says that very moment and its like he's verbalizing what he thinks when the thought strikes him, no filter. So he's not lying in the moment, he means when he says it, BUT BUT BUT with mercury opposite neptune his opinions are fluid and they keep changing and that's what leaves everyone confused.
