I don't have sun con. mercury but i do have sun conjunct Mars and moon trine Mars, you are right about that. I was just trying to figure out today what energy I like about the men I find attractive and I do like outspoken men who aren't afraid to have an unpopular opinion and yes, that is quite Martian.
I'll try a chart with a Leo ascendant and see where that goes.
Also his sun is bang on my Pluto and his Pluto is trine my sun, moon and Mars. The attraction could come from that, too plus from his moon conjuncting my sun and Venus (and I'm sure he is a Pisces moon)

If he's a Sag rising, his NN would be in his 12th most likely. This creates a workaholic, and give a person other similar Virgo qualities with SN in the 6th. Might explain why he's so critical of others.

he seems like a fire ascendant to me too, but leo ascendants tend to be all about posture and **** like that

sag doesn't exactly need a horse face, and he has a lot of similar qualities when i compare him to sag suns i know (my fiancee, younger brother, fiancee's siblings, bunch of my cousins etc) and other things in a chart could offset that

he seems goofy to me, clownish in a way sag often is and his style is very sag

also like i said before sags do like making fun of people and a lot of them have an "always right" complex on top of it, they tend to use humor with their criticism but they're often very blunt and critical and forthcoming with their "truths" (even if theyre subjective they tend to not understand subjectivity of their opinions) they also like to be active and all of the sags i know whether virgo or not will at least go through phases of trying to eat healthy whether or not they binge elsewhere because they tend to like being active and feeling physically well/strong

my fiancee is far more likely to critcize other people than me and i'm a virgo sun she has no virgo in her chart

journeys can be internal, and i've known plenty of negative sags of all the fire signs theyre the most likely to be negative even if theyre laughing about the miserable **** theyre saying (they tend to have **** in scorpio is why, and this guy has a lot of scorpio)

btw sags can be focused and not necessarily a jack of all trades, my sag sun brother is way more focused than me and has very few things he focuses on whereas i'm a lot more scattered

Thank you Dumuzi. That is a very informative description of your experience with Sags. It definitely makes stuff clearer for me And he does seem to fit the bill. I don't think he is very self reflective either. I reckon that is a Sag trait, too?

sag can be very holier than thou and "never wrong"

i have a sag aunt almost no one can stand because she's quick to tell everyone exactly what she thinks as blunt as possible, corrects the way people say things even if it's obvious what they mean (my fiancee is like this, if i phrase something in a way she doesn't like she'll harp on it; it can be grammatically correct but if it's a word she wouldnt have used or she didnt like the phrasing it's a lecture about how i should've said it meanwhile she lacks self awareness at all times as a rule or hyper focuses on trivial things about herself and ignores larger issues particularly in close relationships) and is "always right"

My boyfriend does that!! Like when I don't use the exact same word he would have used he tells me I'm wrong, even though it's crystal clear what I mean. So annoying.
He has nothing in Sag, but it could be his mercury in Aries (square Mars) combined with his Cap ascendant that create this annoying trait.

it's really ******* annoying, have to stop an entire conversation to harp on one word or phrase like there's a script or some ****

what's interesting though is my fiancee also has mercury square mars (out of sign though her mercury is at 29 degrees scorpio, her mars is in pisces) so i wonder if that has something to do with it

she only has cap neptune, she's an aquarius ascendant
