Okay, so first of all: I was one of those women staring at her natal chart, childless, with Saturn imposing his will on the 5H. I was in a few longterm relationships where birth control wasn't used and had never been pregnant, for over 10 years I assumed I couldn't have babies. Studying astrology led me to believe Saturn was playing his hand in my life and I truly felt like I would never be a mother. Saturn definitely could have had part in the delay, but didn't restrict entirely!

I was 32 when I found out I was going to have a baby, 33 by the time she came.

Here are the transits to my natal the night she was conceived. I posted it as a synastry with the transits on the outside in red:

The first thing that I noticed was tMoon opp tMars, falling in my 1/7H axis. The Moon (Motherhood and fertility) in 1H (the physical body/self) opposing my 5H ruler Mars (action) in the 7H (house of others). So my fertility could be realized with someone else's action? Haha I'd say so. And look at the apex of that opposition, my nPluto in the 4H with tUranus opposing it. I'd definitely call this an unexpected, sudden, life- changing transformation.

Below is the chart of my beautiful baby girl. Yes, her birth time is 100% accurate. I kind of find it interesting that both her dad and myself have Scorpio ruled 5H and she ended up a double Taurus, but placed in the 8H. She's going to be stubborn.. and probably love to argue. I may have met my match lol. I'm really curious to see how her Gemini Mars plays out with all that Taurean energy. And of course, those angles all at a nearly perfect 0 piqued my interest, as well. Anyway, here is her chart

Just dropping in to say congratulations! 🎉

My brother has Saturn/Uranus in Capricorn in his 5th house and he “had” his first born at 21.

My sister on the other hand had her first and only child at 36 with her husband/high school sweetheart. She has Jupiter in her 5th in Sagittarius.

Congratulations on your baby !

My sister also has Saturn in 5th with Cancer Asc though. And she is in her 30's now...no baby.

I told her to not panic. But i can only empathize about the anxiety she feels about "time running out" etc. I am not a woman and for some women, the issue around kids gets very sensitive as they approach 30(especially when there is no boyfriend or long term love prospects to speak of).

In your case Solar Arc Pluto 7 Sco Arced to conjunct natal Uranus at age 32.

Solar Arc Neptune 5 Cap Arced to square natal Pluto at 7 Sco at age 32.

Solar Arc Moon arced to square natal Mercury at age 32

Solar Arc Asc in Virgo arced to conjunct trans Venus in Virgo at age 32

Solar Arc Asc in Virgo applying to opposes natal Jupiter in Pisces at age 32

Solar Arc Mc in Taurus arced to conjunct natal Moon in Taurus(separating by 1 degree) at age 32.

Trans Uranus conjunct Solar Arc Sun/Mercury (separating) by 5 degrees and 4 degrees respectively.

Trans Mars in Aqua square natal Pluto.

Solar Arc Mars sextile natal Sun at age 32

Solar Arc Uranus trine natal Moon at age 32

What does your progressed chart look like?

My girlfriend has her Saturn in her 5th and I think it took her and her husband 5-6 cycles of trying before she actually got pregnant. She felt like that was "forever" although common I suppose. I think she was 29 at the time of conception. They are now trying again for their second, a little prematurely I think since their first is only almost 9 months old but she is afraid it will take a while to conceive.

So perhaps sometimes it isn't that Saturn is the direct cause of someone's infertility (only biology can determine that), but that it causes the FEAR of not conceiving? Saturn causes doubt and uncertainty in whatever house it falls in so maybe this makes sense.

Saturn stops punishing and starts rewarding after your first saturn return. This is true regardless of transits.

@Aries23 Here's my progressed chart for the time of conception

I had no idea about any of the solar arc info. It's not something I've studied, but it seems to be quite telling. I'm going to have to make a point to leaen more about it and how to apply it to readings!

Of course 5H Saturn doesn't affect having children. Do you know how many millions of people have this placement?

Looking at the 5H ruler tells you about your fertility. Not the 5th house occupants! Planets in 5H, is how you act & how you feel when it comes to sex, fun & offspring. That's all.

Sorry. I didn't see this.

Yes, Noel Tyl got me into Solar Arc theory. Leaned it through Lauren Delsack too.

I see in the progressed chart, Moon was progressing over to Leo and square the progressed Sun. This is significant life changes. I had progressed Sun opposite natal Moon when I moved to varsity.

I don't know what Uranus transit was doing then. But I estimate Uranus was aspecting both? This is an unexpected occurrence that is unavoidable(Uranus).

Congratulations once again.

My mom had Venus conjunct Saturn in the 5th house in Cancer. She had three kids all in her 20s. I don't believe Saturn in the 5th alone indicates childlessness. In my mom's case, it indicated raising children being a struggle and somewhat of a burden. My mom couldn't have any recreational time or money to spend on herself because of us. In your case, it indicated having a child later in life.

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉
