I was looking at transits that happened at pivotal points of my life and they don't seem to add up to what I went through. I'm starting to wonder if I should even pay so much attention to them.

What has been your experience so far with transits?

I know what you mean. Sometimes it gets really crowded up there in the sky; what planet should you be looking at?And why that one instead of another?Then its Nodes.....oh, it gets very busy.

For me the most potent ones are Pluto,Saturn,Uranus.I only pay attention to square,conj and opp on Sun/Moon the ruler of Asc/Dsc and Mc/Ic.

Saturn tends to be about orienting yourself with the ways of the world i.e "Growing up" etc.

It could be a period of "earning" something or crossing a milestone i.e getting a degree, getting accreditation for your company, your first job, graduating from High School,getting a driver's licence or passing an important law exam etc.

Its typically a time where you feel the pressure to "achieve" something important or perform well in what matters to YOU.

Trans Saturn in Gem opposed my Sun when I finished matric. And I definitely felt the pressure to perform well enough to get into varsity. Saturn went retro on my Sun on the days of the final Matric examinations.

Pluto is obsessive.There is a "out damn spot.Out!" fixation that does not desist.

It's a tendency to invest a lot of "self" in something and to literally let all else fall to the wayside in order to keep focus on that particular thing. Very unbalanced energy as there is little "objective" perspective.

Pluto hit Moon in 3rd by oppostion last year. And building up to that, I progressively became obsessed with reading updates and posts on this forum.

And at the height of the opposition, I was posting threads here a lot. I was also online CONSTANTLY.I was there every hour on the hour to read articles and other interesting things.

When my phone had a low battery, I couldn't wait for it to completely charge. I would simultaneously be busy reading an article or watching a video etc.

I slept at 2:00am in the morning reading astrology stuff, psychology stuff,watching Abraham Hicks,Alien abduction stories,Time travel conspiracies etc.anything at all that piqued my interest and smelled of a "Plutonic" theme.

I was OBSESSED and my internet bill reflected this obsessive nature. And even at work,I was on the internet whenever and however I could be.I didn't seem to care about much but reading articles & domnloading books I wanted to read etc. It was CRAZY.

I still have that energy and catch myself being obsessive now and then. But its not as bad as when Plut was applying in aspect to the Moon. My goodness!! I can "switch off" now. Lol

Uranus feels like a BIG inconvenience. Something that you must do NOW and cannot be avoided or made "easier" to manage etc.

Uranus was applying to Mercury in 2015 when I had to learn to work with a faulty & unreliable system at my previous work.

The system would give inaccurate values, delete imported values or just freeze on some days without warning.

The company couldn't afford to update the system not could I find a job elsewhere. So we were encouraged to work "with it". And that meant that there were days we'd have to stay waaay past work hours to redo and rewrite what the system deleted. It was a headache!

This is how I learned that even the best laid contingency plans don't work for Uranus. Maybe for Saturn. But not Uranus.

This system would suprise us at every turn; sometimes give accurate results and we'd clock off early. Other times we'd be forced to work until 10pm at night-bribed with Pizza.

Tempers flared between employees because we felt under pressure to deliver despite the challenges. And sometimes colleagues would be absent and that meant each person had an increased work load to cover those who didn't pitch for work etc. Just hell!

The above transit was by far the worst of them all.

Do you focus only on the applying aspects? I pay attention to Jupiter as well as it's my Dsc ruler.

I checked back to 1994-1995 when I went through an extremely bad period (a terrible relationship, depression & subsequent weight loss, changed a few jobs and was hospitalised). tJupiter was going through my 7H with tPluto following behind. The 2 planets went past my Dsc/NN then Neptune/Moon. tSaturn went across my 10th conjunct Mars, square Moon/Venus. Not much "action" from tUranus/Neptune.

Another year I made a career switch... tSaturn conjunct my Sun, tSouth Node on my MC. tUranus/Neptune square my Sun.

Yet another year I started a significant relationship. tJupiter/Saturn conjunct my Asc (Jupiter sextile my Dsc ruler; Saturn conjunct my Asc ruler). tPluto/Venus went past my Dsc, trine my Dsc ruler.

FF to 2016, I quit my job and became a freelancer. tSaturn touring my 7th house with tPluto in 8th and tNeptune/South Node in 10th.

Last year was yet another memorable year in terms of personal/biz relationships. tVenus over my Asc/South Node. tJupiter trine Mars, opposite Asc ruler. tNN trine my Dsc ruler. tUranus conjunct Sun/Chiron. tNeptune square Moon/Venus, sextile Asc ruler.

The thing is... there're so many transits going on I can't find a pattern to it, e.g. tNeptune has been squaring my Moon/Venus since 2015 but I only started feeling disillusioned last year. Also, I was expecting to find tNeptune squares to my personal planets in 1994/1995 because that time I felt seriously depressed & disillusioned but there weren't any.

They always describe the windows of opportunity for the moment and generally describe life events and timing. If you're new to reading transits then you missed something significant. But that doesn't mean you personally should pay attention to them.

My personal experience is they are too valuable to ignore, so I keep track of especially the slower moving ones. My experience in my astrology work is that transits are indispensable in addressing client queries and especially in rectification work. Can't do birth chart rectification work without transits.

Transits in declination can be happening when there are no transits in longitude that match the experiences.

I just had uranus sitting on my mercury opposite my moon/Pluto conjunction and yes, for me it made a lot of sense. It shook up everything about all of my personal relationships and how I view the world now. I broke up with my best friend, cut my mother out of my life (finally), and started a new relationship that came completely out of the blue. In 2 more years it will conjunct my venus then 2 years after that my sun all my 12th house so I'm pretty nervous for the next 5 years of my life 😂 😂

Been a really busy weekend for me, I've been meaning to reply to you in the other thread Hikaru29. This is why I keep suggesting that you have Kannon rectify your chart, are the events happening before or after the transiting planet passes a point in your natal? For me, Jupiter is currently transiting my Sixth House (nataly it's in my 10th House in Pisces), has been since last year, I keep landing jobs that pay higher and higher wages, meeting more and more co-workers, supervisors, etc...This has been occurring for the last couple years for me, but I think it's because my progressed Moon was in Sagittarius for most of last year and all of the year before (Moon is my chart ruler in my 4th House in Libra), resulting in more of everything when it comes to everyday routines relating to work or other daily responsibilities that I have.

Next you should be looking at your progressions, where is Jupiter progressing? Where is Mercury progressing? What are your 4th and 10th House rulers?

Lastly, are any of your natal planets (except Sun and Moon) retrograde? You can check this by clicking on "additional tables" and then look to see if their is a small "R", "SD", or "SR" next to them.

So my qn is... why would tUranus conjunct natal Mercury, opposite nMoon/Pluto bring a new relationship? They always say for romance look to Venus but in your case it's brought about by tUranus-Moon? And did this relationship last since Uranus is sudden start/end?

tUranus is on my 12H Sun now btw... easy breezy. LOL

@CardinalT-Square,

How come I didn't get jobs when Jupiter transits my 6th? 😅 In fact, work was extremely quiet and 2 biz venture talks failed. Neptune rules my 10th and when it went across my MC in 2013, I started to feel so tired of working life. I eventually quit my job 3yrs later but I don't know if I'd made the right decision because ever since then I've been freelancing but feeling unaccomplished.

My pMoon/Mercury/Sun were all in Gemini (which is also my natal Asc) when I quit. Then pMoon went into 12th which wasn't good but at least it's still happy Gemini. My emotions started to go haywire when it entered Cancer (still in 12th) but it also gave me a strong urge to settle down...have a partner. pJupiter in 10th conjunct Chiron/Mars/MC.

My natal 4th ruler is Mercury in 12th; 10th ruler is Neptune in 7th. In my pChart, my 4th ruler is Venus in 1st; 10th ruler is Mars in 9th conjunct MC/Jupiter. Why do you emphasise on these 2 houses?

My natal Pluto/Neptune/Uranus are in retrograde. Pluto rules my 6th (quincunx Sun, quintile Moon, trine Asc), Uranus rules my 9th (opp Sun, trine MC).

@Hikaru29

I guess Jupiter is kinder to some of us more than others🤣 Also Jupiter rules my 6th House, so that enhances the effect even more, but believe me, it hasn't been an easy journey to get to where I'm at now, I too started my own little business a couple years, it got to be too much for me, so I put that on ice for now, I've been fired from jobs, and quit, but so far, I've been able to move on and find something more beneficial for me. All that cardinal energy I have keeps pushing me forward, and I think that is why I've been so successful compared to you, not to mention I'm very persistent and always striving for more, never satisfied with just being low-man on the totempole, thanks in part to my T-Square.

The reason I'm focusing on those houses is because they give you the best overall picture as to why you keep seeing this other person once every week. It's nice that you found a partner though, I'm the opposite, I'm doing so well financially, but I have no real partner, just casual FWBs, so you can say, Jupiter giveth and Jupiter taketh away🤣😝 it doesn't help that Saturn is in my 6th House ruling both my 7th and 8th Houses, and squaring Venus, and now my progressed Moon is on natal Neptune in Capricorn, and soon to be conjuncting progressed and natal Mars, I also only have Sun, Moon, and Venus moving direct, everything else in my chart is retrograde, and I'm thinking since Pluto is your 6th House ruler and retrograde, that could explain why you haven't had much in terms of financial opportunities as I have, but you've been able to find stable relationships with others that I have not.

Do you have any intercepted houses? By that I mean one house in say Libra, but then it extends past Scorpio, causing the next house to start in Sagittarius like I have, and then I have my First and Second Houses in Cancer and 7th and 8th Houses in Capricorn.

@Kannon

Thanks for the support, tell me, if someone is attracting a lot of Aries energy, (mostly natal Sun) would that be their Ascendant or Desendant that brings them into her life? She has an older Aries Sun Sister, a very close cousin with an Aries Moon, a recent Aries Sun husband, and she gets along with Aries Suns or people like me with intense 1st House energies unusually well, I've never seen anything so consistent with anyone else before, also I only see her when Sun, Moon, Mars, and/or Jupiter are in any of the cardinal signs, what could explain that?

@CardinalT-Square,
No, I don't have intercepted houses. My career was rather smooth sailing before... until I quit my job in 2016 and financial stability became huge on my mind... although I should've anticipated this when I quit. I thought I was able to take a break and find something else later but it hasn't been successful. I won't consider my relationship stable either so I really feel very unaccomplished in all areas of my life now. 😅

In my case, it broke up relationships I had that were not serving my purpose anymore. Specifically my mother (moon/Pluto) and because of that, it made room in my life for the man I'm with now. I think in retrospect people tend to look back on "negative" transits and see how much they've grown and why things happened they way they did. Out with the old, in with the new ya know? He came into my life completely out of the blue, almost exactly when I finally cut all ties with my mother and best friend and I couldn't understand why I was going through such an awful time with the people in my life.... Until now.
That was also near the very end of the transit.
