Hey astro buds, hope you are all well : )I'm dealing with a chart right now that has a two Quindecile aspects...to the same planet...Saturn. The aspecting planets are the Sun and the Moon...I keep getting drawn to interpretation via the parents...but I also keep getting stuck. I've been seeing this aspect a lot lately and then decided to make sure it wasn't because there was one in my own chart and sure enough, there is...I'd never noticed before (nor any astrologer who has read my chart in the past) but my Venus is Quindecile my Chiron...Venus in Scorp in the 2nd, Chiron in Taurus in the 7th. Venus making an obsessive aspect to my wording regarding value...this seems to be a core, and with a Venus chart ruler, I suppose it's time I really try to understand the ramifications of this. Would love to hear interpretive thoughts on the client's double sun / moon Quindecile to Saturn, I love expanding my own train of thought. To report on the other, my value in the world IS ABSOLUTELY a point of obsession for me. I can definitely comment on that...I have been separated from my value, and I have been driven by trying to understand it on a level that might require medication at some point in life, truth be told. How does one work with this energy...I can never see the forrest for the trees in my own chart...would love to hear any thoughts that come up. Thank you in advance! IP: Logged |

I assume you're referring to the 165° aspect. I treat these (and all the in-between 15° aspects) as a mini-square. I don't reduce it to 'obsessive' as per students of Tyl. It's a mini-square, just like a semi-square or sesqui-square.------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |

I can see the value in that...and yes, my use of the word obsessive kind of positioned the aspect in a limited way...I find the Venus/Chiron energy in my chart to be ripe with obsessing about the wounding...so I guess find the interpretation Tyl offers compelling, but not without the need for more vetting, etc. Not to make an argument our of how to look at it, but I'd be interested in anyone who takes this up in their interpretations, to compare. oh and yes..165! I loved a lot of Noel Tyl's work; particularly the midheaven extension process and I think he's a brilliant astrologer, but I don't always agree with him.Dismissing Chiron for instance, and all of the asteroids! I mean that's verging on insanity ;-) I felt that he invented the quindecile (165 degrees), so that he could say that he had invented an aspect. I don't say this to be cynical, I say this because it doesn't work for me on a scientific basis. It doesn't relate to a harmonic, anymore than the dividing it up mathematically does. I don't use the sesqui a whole lot either (135 degrees) for the same reason, although I acknowledge it as a 'trigger', just as the inconjunct is most powerful as a 'trigger'. To explain they are linked by transiting planets, as they are always aspected at the same time, so they have an indirect relationship with one another. Direct harmonics (absolutes 1/2 1/3 1/4 1/6 1/7) are discernible on all levels. Have you ever watched those videos where salt/sand forms patterns in relation to the resonate frequency of a note? This is the physical tangibility of a harmonic and it is something magical and special, as Johannes Kepler spent a lot of his life's work studying. So in answer to your question, I don't think the quindecile is relevant personally. I have an exact quindecile from my Sun to my MC and I simply don't feel it's active. The semi-square between my Mars and Moon or the inconjunct between my Venus and Saturn.....they're definitely active, especially when transited. ------------------ You can now book readings about twin flame relationships from me, as well as natal reports: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Waxyjo My latest blogpost is about love and how we can understand it fully in the astrological chart: https://waxlobster.blogspot.com/ ♥ IP: Logged | |
