I have never fully understood this concept of Mc and career. To me it doesn't match.People who are homeless also have Mc.What "career" do they have?
The Mc ime is the "inner professional" or the qualities that you cultivate and "market" to the world. Its where integrity, authenticity and accountability come in.
The Mc has a strongly Saturnine tone to it and so there is "purpose" attached to it and a sense of wanting to achieve the themes attached to its planetary placement etc.
The Sun may be expression and creativity. But when Sun is in the 10th, expression and creativity take on a very important meaning. The individual strives to live a "purpose-driven" life the older they grow.
You don't necessarily have to be on the path of that particular planet to manifest the Mc.In that not all of us know what we want to do with our lives, we do not recognize the skills we have until much later in life or are just oblivious to them until we come to realize that we have been going about our business to (unconsciously) master these skills.
For someone with Venus in the 10th, beauty/ harmony/ aesthetics/refinement/cooperation/partnerships and dealing with relating to others will be pivotal themes ij your life. You take these themes very seriously.
Does it mean that someone with Venus in 10th will become a stylist? A beautician? A decorator? Not really. Atleast not in the strict sense of the word.
I could be an accountant in a law firm and have Venus in the 10th.I could be a cleaner at a department store and have Venus in 10th. Also possible to be a mechanic and have Venus in 10th.So what's the link?
All these people in their respective professions will align to Venusian qualities: friendly, good with people, well liked, good with dealing with others one on one, popular, perhaps attracting attention, amiable, kind or good humoured, people like being around them etc.
I wouldn't advise the mechanic to quit his job and become an interior designer because of Venus in 10th.As much as I wouldn't talk a Mars in 1st house individual to enlist in the army.
The midheaven has to do with skills and abilities you hone over time(and perhaps reputation too). The 6th is your attitude towards work-no matter the industry you are in. Whilst the 2nd house is what you do to feed yourself(like it or not you must survive regardless of how your job is your "calling" or not).
So if you have Uranus on the Mc(like me).You are a revolutionary. You tend to want to change things around wherever it is that you set foot in.
You may work in Catering for instance(not necessarily a career related to Uranus) and this could be your bread and butter 2nd house in Cancer.
Now what is your attitude to your work? Are you a consummate professional or laissez fair? We look to your chart and find Saturn in 6th for instance. YOU ARE THE BOSS or are at least working towards becoming one.
Now recall how Uranus is in the 10th? This means you are a consummate professionalwith Saturn in 6th(true). But your "edge" or "claim to fame" is that you are all about introducing new and innovative ways of doing things in the workplace. You become a revolutionary and this may include but is not limited to technology.
So you may be the type of caterer who incorporates exotic twists to everyday dishes or introduce new cuisines to your clients that they have never heard of before.
The downside to Uranus in 10th is that there may be problems of delays and sudden flareups in the business that compromise turnaround time. So negatively, you could also nurture the reputation of being late, delayed or unreliable(another Uranus feature).
