Ever survived the Scorpio's mind games to have a successful relationship?

Recently we were talking about something innocuous, out of the blue he brought up his girlfriend. When I pressed the subject the information seemed shaky -

Gist: He's dating someone just like me. Plus, all the things they're going to do will occur in the town I live. He was also giggling all through his story.

we met twice once when we were 12 online through her cousin (we both heard of each other though, we had a lot of mutual friends who were always saying we would love each other if we met) and we talked there for 2 years (i've known her 20 years)

then when we were 14 we met again separate from that in hs, made mutual friends, talked to each other without knowing about how we talked all the time online

for whatever reason we didn't think to introduce ourselves for a while

eventually she figured it out and told me we knew each other, i told her no **** and she explained

got close after that, we were friends for about 4 years then started dating a couple of months after she told me she was in love with me

there's been tests over the years, and a lot of stupid back and forth **** and passive aggressive bs etc with her and there was massive levels of scorpio spite ******** at one point because i ****** up with heroin and i paid for that for about a year or so

that being said things are settling down more lately, but this halloween will also make it 15 years

her **** usually isn't directed at me, i mostly hear about her **** with other people and all those ups and downs

she does make effort to reinvent herself, and things have come a long way (we've both been through a lot of trauma as kids and then a lot of **** as adults together; helped her basically raise her siblings at points and **** when we were first dating and most of our early 20's) so they do change and grow and when you get them to cut the **** and own up to things they've done they are capable of taking responsibility and trying to do better etc

it's more about you tbh

the silent treatment annoys the **** out of me, my fiancee loves doing that

sometimes it's better than them talking though, don't take it personally

that's the thing with scorpio ******** , you can't take it personally it's all them and they'll hurt themselves too so it's not like they're even happy while they act out

the make up phases are nice

I feel like young scorpions are essentially creating so much emotional trauma and karma for themselves that one day they will need to face their deep transformation; and they will become that person who seems like they've walked with God. Could be their soul journey.

it depends on how you pass them whether or not they respect you, if you just pass them by giving in every time and never standing up for yourself or ceasing to ever fight them etc then they will see you as too weak and trample all over you and lose respect

people with scorpio placements don't respect people who give in to them too much, but you don't have to give in to pass their tests that's a misconception people have

because they're not typically stupid people (their emotions are just deep and they're typically scared and vulnerable ultimately that's where it all comes from) so they are capable of reason and it is possible to get them to **** off, back down, and give in

i don't really see how being there for someone and caring about them in spite of them acting out emotional damage sometimes is "failing at life" personally, because with scorpio placements the reward factor tends to balance out the punishment one

they're perfectly capable of admitting to being wrong, making up for things they've done, going out of their way to try to please you etc

like the silent treatment **** , when they go into that mode you let them have it for a little while, take it as a chance to summarize your thoughts into a couple of quick sentences, talk to them about something else to get them speaking to you again (because people who give the silent treatment tend to have "rules" and will often discuss other things) and then just slip the **** you have to say in once they're engaged again and their guard is lowered

with the gaslighting **** you just don't let it happen, stick to your point and don't take bait

they go off on a tangent you just say "that's not what we're discussing, but we can talk about that after this conversation if you'd like to" and then continue instead of taking the bait

lot of ways around that ****

you don't always have to sell yourself short or take a position of weakness with a scorpio, and usually the worst **** they do is to themselves

edit: another good thing for gaslighting is to say something like "you're smart, i know that you know..." because people who do that don't want to appear stupid, they want control and there's no control in looking stupid

people give scorpios too much power, but the truth is if they truly had any they wouldn't fight so hard to take it in any given situation
