I have this placement, along with Neptune in the 8th House. Sun opposite Uranus at 1 degree orb too!------------------

I guess its disruptive nature (Uranus) fits best with the loss-filled & tragic nature of all things in the eighth house.I have Uranus in 8th too with Venus right at the door of the 8th(exiting the 7th). For me, it has brought on disruptions and changes in feelings i.e I can be really into someone, really obsessed with them(like a shiny new toy). Then suddenly one day the feelings cool off. I am okay with not talking to them as much anymore. Its really awful because it sends the people I am with (or into) into a tailspin to a point of whiplash.How can I be so hot one minute.Then standoffish the next?

Uranus shakes things up so it will help bring our shadow side and unresolved issues buried in our 8th to the surface  . That is my best guess.Like uranus reforms and brings needed change so it might bring our issues to the surface and light up what needs to change.

In astrology, Uranus is said to be exalted in the "sign" of Scorpio--
but there's no reference to Uranus in 8th except by assumption that Scorpio's natural rulership of 8th pertains to it.

Uranus is about freedom and breaking from a person/ situation.
Because the 8th house of full of secrets and heavy subject, uranus in 8th means you are able to breakaway from what the house easily..you able to resolve situation, dig, and find what the problem is..which releases the secret and darkness to clarify it.

Because the 8th house of full of secrets and heavy subject, uranus in 8th means you are able to breakaway from what the house easily..you able to resolve situation, dig, and find what the problem is..which releases the secret and darkness to clarify it.

It is given 'accidental exaltation' in the 8th house because many modern astrologers use house-to-sign equivalences and the 8th is associated with Scorpio, the sign many modern astrologers say is the exaltation of Uranus. And Uranus is associated with the psychic and the occult as is the 8th and Scorpio. ------------------

Well, if nothing else, Uranus in it's fall in Taurus makes a lot of sense, so by extension, I guess I can live with exaultation in the opposite sign, Scorpio.IP: Logged |
