Or would things differ if it aspected Uranus? I'm asking out of curiosity because I keep hearing that Water Mercuries make decisions based on their emotions, rather than intellect. IP: Logged |

Wouldn’t confuse Intuition (sixth sense) with Emotion, verrrry different scopes. I have Mercury Pisces sextile Neptune/Uranus, trine Pluto, trine Mars. IP: Logged |

Mercury in water will have the individual learn intuitively period. Its tough to successfully conceal things from them as they learn to read "what lies beneath" anyways. At times it can lead to great insight on things people tend to find to complex to understand. But at worst, it can bend the mind to a point where one believes that there is something "more" or "hidden" from them.Even when the message is plain & clear. Paranoia or the refusal to accept things "as is" results. Increased suspicion. Uranus/Mars conjunction will tend to short circuit Mercury to a point where this suspicion turns openly accusatory i.e "you are lying to me" or "I feel like you are keeping things from me." etc. Mental faculties can be geared towards getting to the "truth" and exposing any lies etc. This is even more so when Pluto aspects Mercury. Rosie O'Donnel has Mercury/Mars in Pisces & conjunct. On the one hand she had incredible insight.I really liked how she thought. But on the other hand, she was also known for saying shocking things on "The View" and getting into all out on-air tiffs with her co-presenters(most notably Melissa Hasselback). She also did say that she left the show because she felt "unsupported" by the other women. Like they were all ganging up on her etc.Again here we see the Mercury in water "conspiracy" paranoia. Depends really, some I make based on intellect, but when it comes to people I rely on intuition, I'm pretty good at playing dumb around people too, unless they p!ss me off, and then I dig few of their corpses out of their closets and shove it on their faces.IP: Logged |

I think it’s easier to make decisions and conclusions based on our intuition rather than facts. But I believe these intuition comes from experiences and observations. So sometimes it comes off unexplained to others. I’m not sure how Uranus would change that but it makes my thoughts a never ending one. It hops from one thing inside my head to the next. Also someone who thinks differently and not make sense sometimes. IP: Logged |

Interesting! So my husband and I have a Pisces mercury conjunction, I think maybe within 1’ from each other. I always wonder about Pisces mercury because of it. But I’ll try to explain our intellect and thought processes and how they are alike and vary. I am a Pisces sun, moon, mercury (all conjunction) in 8th house. I learn slowly, I have to read things over and over and visualize them and/or physically do them to learn. I am very intuitive. It’s not uncommon for me to know things for no reason at all, I just have a strong feeling that it’s the right answer even though I haven’t even started thinking about it! My husband is a Pisces sun (right at the end of Pisces) and mercury (at the very beginning of Pisces), and his sun is conjunct his Aries moon. His mercury is in his 1st house. He’s an aqua rising. He is SMART! So smart. He loves learning about physics and science and dark matter, etc. He graduated with his masters degree at age 22 and he is a researcher for the EPA. He’s very science aware and wants to help global water crises (that’s the aqua influence). He is a very strong communicator thanks to his Pisces mercury in 1st house. Ask him a question about the universe and he’ll explain something for 20 minutes, while going on random tangents and forget the original question. I’ve always thought he should go into being a professor at a university because it would be so well suited for him. Being in an educational environment is invigorating to him. He loves to learn and gets genuinely excited to learn about new science things. Last night we went to a seminar about multiuniverse theories. Way over my head but he was like a kid in a candy store. Education has always been very important to him and he prides himself on his intelligence. We are both great at expressing our emotions with each other. Even though we both have Saturn affecting our moons. We are considerate and kind to others, putting their feelings first (me more so than him, but he is still quite considerate). He tends to act more quickly and reactive due to his Aries moon while I may retreat more. But overall in expressing our emotions we are upfront about them. Our Saturn helps mellow us out so we aren’t super emotional, pretty chill actually. Hope that helps answer your question! IP: Logged |

The moon has more to do with emotion than mercury. Mercury in Pisces is more like we sponge up the emotions of others around us due to our intuition. But I have a Moon in Capricorn so emotionally I’m pretty structured and logical. Mercury also deals with reasoning and analyzing. My mercury is in 8H (giving it Pluto energy) trines my mars and Sextiles Uranus(6H Capricorn). My third house is in libra with Jupiter there. I definitely feel that I’m analytical and drawn to science, logic, the human psyche, human behavior, etc. I reason mostly with my head rather than heart. IP: Logged |

No, simply more prone to following intuition. Also good for reading emotions and body language. IP: Logged |

For good or bad, depending on how they develop and use it, Mercury in Pisces lends one to more an impressionistic mental response in which the person is less given to examining the relevant details. Intuition is more the mental process, which can be beneficial even in something like scientific research. But I wouldn't use this placement to say all them reason solely with their feelings. The sign does not change the nature of the planet, only how it is expressed. Mercury is mental process. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |
