I know Mercury Rx's period is a time where breakups occur and then after the rx period is over people get back together, but what about a breakup that occurs during Mercury's pre-retrograde shadow period? Mercury's pre-retrograde shadow period began June 20th and Mercury's retrograde period will begin July 7th and end July 31st or Aug 1st depending on where you live and the post-shadow period will end August 15th.
