So I was digging around the internet looking for information on whether or not solar and lunar eclipses could somehow help one time the meeting of someone special or a marriage. I came across this wonderful article all about eclipses and thought I’d share it with you guys here !One thing I will say is that I do NOT necessarily believe that if you get broken up with near a solar or lunar eclipse that this means your relationship is done forever with no chance of you two ever getting back together. This seems to be a super common thing for astrologers to say about breakups during eclipse season, and I don’t think it is always true. My parents are an example pf a couple who broke up right around the time of the March 18th, 1988 solar eclipse only to get back together on September 26th, 1988 (just two weeks after the September 11th, 1988 solar eclipse!!!!) when my dad actually called my mom to propose to her over the phone and reconcile their relationship. They married on New Year’s Eve 1988 which was less than two months before the February 20th, 1989 lunar eclipse and are still together 30 years later! My point is that you should NOT automatically assume your relationship is over for good if your breakup occurs during a solar or lunar eclipse. It could be over for good, but your best bet would be to wait it out for at least 6 months (don’t put your life on hold though, continue dating and acting as if the breakup will be forever permanent). If in 6 months you don’t see any chance of a reconciliation then yes it is likely that the relationship can’t be salvaged and it’d be best to move on or possibly try to re-establish a friendship since that might at least be doable, but if your ex doesn’t even want a friendship after 6 months then it is unfortunately just time to move on and hope for the best for them. Thank you for your telling us about the personal story of your parents' relationship and the effect of eclipses.(The next eclipse is Lunar. The one we had prior was Solar.) IP: Logged |

We have an astrology meetup with professional astrologers in my area. They hosted a meeting on the solar/lunar eclipses last weekend. It was amazingly interesting. Anyway they kept it simple and only focused on the eclipses for brevity and simplicity. They said they like to focus on what houses the nodes are transiting rather than planet aspects because planet aspects change rapidly whereas the houses are throughout. Anyway, the said solar eclipses often signify new beginnings and lunar endings. But they explained that it doesn’t have to be about you. It could be about others close to you. For example when the Aries/Libra transited my 9th house my boyfriend at the time went abroad. When it transited again 2 years later I myself when abroad for the first time to study. So it’s not about bad things but can be. Some are about reflection like mercury retrograde. It’s currently transiting my 6H/12H which is calling me to withdraw and balance work/life balance, to let go of habits that aren’t serving me and to embrace new habits tha will serve me better. I’m regards to 6H I’ve also learned of 3 coworkers being diagnosed with cancer in last 2-3 months. IP: Logged |
