Popular astrological stereotypes.

Well I think the astrological community puts this sign in a pedestal when essentially there is just this battle between fear and desire all the time, fear or desire taking over but the end goal is supposed to be self mastery hahahahaha IDK if I buy that, I can say that the end goal is self-awareness which helps with self-mastery but can we all fully master our fear and desire nature truly FULLY if we are not robots!? Our biological make up has desire and fear programmed into us.

I feel the sign is put up in a pedestal by the astrological community like the story of romeo and juliet is put up in a pedestal, I am guilty of this mistake myself. I try to get people to see Pluto more objectively! Pluto is heavy crap, its not neptune or jupiter, its the anxiety and fear you feel when you are super into someone that you desire so much but are also afraid of getting close to or of losing them, its the crazy side that comes up in relationships bc you are afraid of losing the other, is the crazy side that gets jealous or gives ultimatums bc the person they are into is triggering a past trauma in the other they are not aware of.

Scorpio is the only sign with 3 evolutionary stages - the Scorpion (child), the Eagle (adolescent) and the (adult) Dove - but the age at which the two higher stages are achieved by each individual (if at all) cannot be predicted.

However ... it is also the only sign that can truly understand why the behaviour of the Eagle and the Dove is often seen by others as being that of the Scorpion.

["To you Scorpio I give a very difficult task. You will have the ability to know the minds of others, but I do not permit you to speak about what you learn. Many times you will be pained by what you see, and in your pain you will turn away from Me (God) and forget that it is not I but the pervasion of My Idea that is causing your pain. You will see so much of humankind that you will come to know them as animals and wrestle so much with those animal instincts in yourself that you will lose your way; but when you finally come back to Me, Scorpio, I have for you the supreme gift of Purpose." ... Karmic Astrology (Volume 1), by Martin Schulman.]

I thought the 3rd stage was the pheonix? I haven't heard of the dove before.

Yes. ... I used the dove* to symbolise the peace-on-earth nature which is (ultimately) achieved by becoming the phoenix.

[*In The Horoscope, the Road and its Travellers, Alan Oken states that "the Scorpion type is totally self-seeking, using his/her tremendous personal magnetism, insight and sensitivity to build personal success, despite the cost to others.
The Eagle types possess an objectivity which permits them to soar above the web of emotional entanglements so that he/she may peer into the heart of any matter. They can rekindle another person's creativity through subtle stimulation and cooperative efforts. He/she will use another person's resources for personal gain, but such use will also bring mutual benefits.
The Dove is a very rare type indeed. In the Catholic tradition, the Dove is a symbol for the Holy Ghost - the invisible presence of the Holy Spirit. In this respect, the Dove is a healer and metaphysician who is constantly at work draining negative energies from others, repolarising that energy through his/her own force field, and infusing into other people their newly generated and healing strength."]

My point was just made, seriously? Scorpio is the only sign that has 3 evolutionary stages? The planet that keeps getting demoted and that only was discovered recently in 1930?

This idea of 3 evolutionary stages can definitely be applied to all signs and is line with the first decan, second decan and third decan concept.

Yes*. ... I should have written "Scorpio is the only sign that has (symbols for) 3 evolutionary stages".

[*This is a good illustration of how Scorpios (such as me) are "not permitted to speak about what is learned" ... because they often fail to express themselves in a way which cannot be misunderstood.]

Pluto rules the Scorpio Ascendant of Thomas Edison. It is in his Aries/5th house (of creativity); trines Moon in Sagittarius/1st house and these two bodies sextile his Sun-Neptune conjunction in Aquarius/3rd house. ... Would you say that his Pluto manifested as something other than the "99% perspiration" which he combined with "1% inspiration" to produce his many innovations?

People either romanticize or demonize that which they don't understand. Scorpio unfortunately seems to receive a mix of both.
