No not really that I know of. The closest planet to my ascendent is my venus at 9° Pisces. My Asc is 25° Aquarius

I am going to add Saturn as the big influencer here because in as much as Venus is technically "closer" to the Asc cusp,Saturn is the slowest moving planet in the first house AND enjoys traditional rulership over Aqua(your Asc)

I see that you are very photogenic.This is what Saturn can do and give amazing bone structure.

My ex is effortlessly gorgeous. But his self esteem is in the dumps. People used to want to take pics with him and he never used to understand why.

So I think in his case, Saturn in 1st strongly influenced his appearance-even as Moon was closer to the cusp. And this could be the case with you too.

Planets in 1st house also tend to give an "Aries" feel to the native. So Saturn in 7th does not have the same "feel" as Saturn in 4th or 10th etc. However I must say that Saturn on the angle tends to dominate i.e when in exact aspect or within tight orb of the Asc.

Saturn in that way influences all the angles- especially for those born with the Mc and Asc degrees within close range.

Also note that the people you ask to guess your sign are typically people who have gotten to know you. They are most likely to guess your Mars/Moon sign because of the aura or energy you give them.

The Mars/Moon sign may also be the Draconic sign they guess as the Draco is another layer interwoven into the natal.

Your Asc sign imo and contrary to popular belief, is not easily discernible after an initial meetinh. It is the energy you project instinctively when coming into uncertain or ad-hoc situations.

The Asc is barely discernable because it is so instinctive. And it lasts only a few moments before the Moon kicks in and takes over social relations.

The Sun is always the last energy to be known due to its more "generic" presence. If it aspects the Moon, iy comes in through being reflected by the Moon.

Most people don't guess I am Sag. They think me air or water because Moon and Mars are in water and air respectively. Even my Asc in Aries is never inferred,I get Taurus a lot(which is my Draconic Moon sign).

Once people know me deeper however, the Sun tends to dominate interactions together with its aspects the longer the relationship progresses. The Moon typically comes out in emotive or excitable moments of extremes. Not in everyday interactions.

ascendant can be hard to guess, especially with planets in the 1st house or aspects to the ascendant that are going to alter its expression

you don't look like the signs those planets rule, but each of those planets is going to affect you in some way and how you come across to people so that's lilely where the confusion comes in

also your moon and sun will affect your appearance too

most people are **** at guessing signs anyway tbh, i've never had anyone guess my sign right irl (i did have Plutonian2 guess nearly my entire ******* chart after talking to me on here though, that was pretty impressive, she was unsure of the sun/mercury combination but one of her guesses for that was right too)

the aquarius ascendant with saturn 1st house is probably why you come off aloof and distant because the only planets you could have 12th house wouldnt really do that

Thank you so much for this detailed info 🙏🏼 Saturn might have a big influence on my appearance because I know that when I was younger people would always tell me I looked sad or mad about something and that I should smile more. Ive always felt self conscious and when it comes to my appearance I don’t feel good enough for myself. I have this weird look about me. You can’t really see in these pics because these ones are decent compared to others Ive taken. Usually I just feel really down when I take bad pictures of myself ans ruins my mood. Saturn in the 1st really sucks.
Also I wanted to mention that no one in real life has tried to guess my sign. Most people I know don’t follow astrology and I don’t talk about it with anyone. The guesses have come from the internet and most people get the wrong impression of me. They rarely guess my rising or even sun sign correctly. Usually it’s Scorpio or Sagittarius and it’s strange because I hardly have any of those signs influence my chart much.
I think my aura in pics is different from real life cause people close to me usually say Im typical of my sign (Pisces) that it fits me. But really I think I have a little bit of every sign in me lol The way people describe me is usually typical Pisces traits I think. I think Im kind of typically feminine despite having a masculine moon and rising. I think that’s my Venus in the 1st house influence... My chart is dominated by Pisces and Aquarius but people online pick up those signs last. I should be oozing those two signs I got a stellium in both lol

Yeah Im not super confident in my appearance honestly. Sometimes I am when I have a good makeup and haur day I really feel good about my appearance then it’s all fun and games until someone snaps a pic of me and my confidence goes down to 0 again. Don’t ask me why now and then I still try to take pics of myself. I took this pic last week sometime and I got lucky that I came out decent. Maybe cause it looks more natural since I was trying to be more in a natural pose with my dog son 😂

Oh but yes I think I come off aloof to people. I think I seem stand-offish maybe even stuck up but Iswear Im not Im just reserved and not social.
My moon is in the same sign as my rising so it’s even more strange people don’t usually guess Aquarius haha but it is in the 12th house. Along with my rising ruler, Uranus, Jupiter,, and Neptune in the 12th house.
I wonder if having the rising signs ruler in the 12th house kind of mutes it..

You are probably right about all the planets having an effect on people guessing your rising, though. If you have venus in the first for example but have cappy rising, someone might think "capricorn rising cant be...she looks so sweet... I wonder where it comes from...". But I don't think they would confidently guess libra or taurus either in my experience. Because it's just a whole different look.

Edit: also, you *definitely* look like an aquarius rising. I have a feeling people on this forum might just not be very good at guessing ascendants lol.

You’re the first person to say I look like an Aquarius rising! Lol sometimes I don’t mention my rising sign right away because people will see it no matter what sign it is. It wasnt til a couple years ago that I found my real birthtime. The whole time I thought I was an Aries rising but it didn’t feel right to me. So I asked on a forun if I looked like an Aries rising because I don’t feel like one, and they said yes. But Im actually not but I think their guesses would have been different if I didn’t mention what my rising sign was 😂
I think I do look like some Aquarius risings because I have an oval face and straightish nose and I notice a lot of Aquarius rising celebrities have these traits. But Im not social or dress unique or stand out like a typical Aquarius rising I think. My personality is different from the description but I can’t ever know how I come across.
