Topic: Does anyone else find the house placement of the ASC-ruler more relatable as an ASC?

I relate more to Virgo Rising, than the Cancer Ascendant interpretations.------------------

I never thought about it. My rising sign is Capricorn, with Saturn in the eighth house. Capricorn and Scorpio share some similarities. I have no idea which suits me the most. Maybe Capricorn, as I'm not as obsessed as you would expect a scorpio to be. IP: Logged |

I had to edit my earlier post out and just say that this poses the question of planets in houses.If one has Moon in House 6.Would that be equitable to Moon in Virgo? It always comes back to this fundamental thing. I have Asc in Aries with Mars in Libra.And I find that Libra Mars in 7th is more in keeping with how I express myself.
My Sister has Moon in Cancer conjunct Asc in Cancer. And i find her energy more "Aries" than I. So she would relate to Aries rising My other sister has Asc in Gem with Merc in Scorpio. Her Mercury in 6th would give her a more "Virgo" expression. A friend of mine has Cap Asc and his Saturn in Libra is in the 10th.Cap Asc suits his approach to life through and through. Another has Libra Asc with Pluto in 1st. His Venus(ruler of Asc) is in the 11th. I think from what I view as being, his life seems to mirror both. In that there is one side that is more "community-based" or centred around community involvement. He likes that But then there's the other nature which feels "alienated" from others. Like he is on the outside looking in and there is none whom can get too close to him(that's Pluto)

No. I have Virgo rising with Mercury in the 9th house and I am very much a Virgo rising person physically, mentally, and otherwise. However, I am consciously developing a personality more akin to Sagittarius rising. It takes time -- years and decades. ------------------

Lol mine is Leo rising with sag Sun in the 5th so it's a bit redundant. also my sag sun and 9th house moon makes me feel like a sag more than anything.IP: Logged |

The Ascendant is only one piece of one's personality makeup. The Asc ruler, the sign and the house it is in are also important. The (hard) aspects to the Asc ruler also color the personality, as well as any planet in the first house.Planets and their aspects are usually more felt than signs and houses.
For example, someone with a Libra Asc wouldn't necessary align with the Libra Asc description if Pluto is on the very same Ascendant. The Libra traits would still be there but maybe not as pronounced as the Scorpio traits. Whereas someone with a Scorpio Ascendant with Asc ruler Pluto in Libra would exude more Libra than Scorpio energy.

That's not surprising. I'm a Gemini rising, with my ASC on the 29th degree of Gemini, but I keep thinking I'm actually a Cancer rising because Mercury is in Pisces(similar to Cancer) and I'm very introverted. IP: Logged |

I did thought about it. I did wonder if someone with a 8th house placement of the Asc ruler will have some Scorpio traits.I'm Sco asc with Mars in Cancer in the 8th and Pluto in Libra in the 12th and Virgo Sun in the 10th. I think that I'm a mixture of all those things. IP: Logged |

I discovered that ASC ruler in houses shows your life goals and direction in life. I have Pisces Rising and Neptune is in my 9th house. I am spiritual, philosophical and I relocated in my 20s to another continent in a far away country where I live to this day.
