I would imagine that a Cancer energy in both male and female would be attractive to Cap(both male and female). And this would go both ways.

By Cancer energy, I don't mean strictly Cancer Sun only.

This is of course an idelaistic POV. Some Cancers often have imbalanced emotions and temper tantrums that can border on drama. Cap can dislike these types immensely.

Moon rules the home and Leo is the creative life force. Moon in Leo is akin to Moon in 5th. In that the sensitive nature of the Moon finds creative expression in matters related to the 5th.

The creative expression could be through home decorations, the enjoyment of being a caretaker, creating an environment at home that is warm and inviting, the calling/life purpose to be a caregiver or involved with home/heritage/children/emotional creativity in some way significant.

With Moon in Leo/5th or ruler of 4th in 5th, this is conscious expression. This is the self expressive imprint of identity fulfillment. It is dymanic and externally focused in essence instead of internally concentrated and deeply subjective(Moon in Cancer/Ic)

This is the difference between Cancer Sun (also 5th house Moon/ Sun/Ic affiliation) i think.The Cancer Sun friend I know is concerned about legacy/children and the imprint of the ego self(Sun) on Cancer related things.

At home he is the patriarch(Sun) and is the centre of decisions made.His family is his pride and joy and all his life revolves around them.He adores home.

Cancer Moon is the 'search' for groundedness, home and belonging. This leads to influx and internal restlessness that makes the native more focused on the subjective experience rather than the "physical" essence.

In short,Cancer Sun aims to build a nest or create a home. To "centre" oneself around ideals of what 'home' means to you.

But Cancer Moon is the "looking" for a home.A wanting to be part of a community and constant emotional responses to subjective thoughts of belonging. Sometimes pulling away and other times 'towards' others.

That's why Moon in Cancer(save for Sun in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio,Aqua)seems so markedly "unstable" and moodier than Sun in Cancer. Sun gives the emotions more purpose whilst Moon encourages the native to experience the troughs and peaks unending.
