The chart will typically repeat themes to suggest where the love interest will come from. Its not typically just one placement. An instance would be if say the Sun is in Virgo and the 7th house. Here the native is attracted(Sun) to communicative types(Virgo) with whom they can collaborate with(7th).
In essence they are looking not only for a partner but a person to "assist"(Virgo) them in everyday life to get life to work more smoothly or productively. A mate and a "colleague" all in one etc.
Now say Leo is on the cusp of the 6th with Venus there. Again this theme is repeated as Venus rules alliances, partnerships and those with whom we are drawn to etc. so when in 6th, it points to a relationship(Venus) that is mostly work-related or emphasizes productivity in some way(6th).
Now we keep on looking around the chart for Venus Taurus/Libra to see what other overlaps there are i.e Taurus in 11th -sense of security is tied into friendships made or one makes gains through contacts established etc. One may be a "collector" of friendships.
Libra in 8th-alliances are taken seriously. There is an intense approach towards relating to others. One considers partnerships to a very intimate part of oneself.
After which we look at the ruler of 2nd and 7th to glean further repetition in theme. We turn the chart over and do house derivatives. We look at aspects to see whether the story is streamlined by Juno/Chiron links etc.
When turning the chart over, Sun in 7th house for instance also emphasises intellect and the ability to be stimulated by the partner or relate intellectually with them.Younger people or those with an open mind tend to appeal because the Sun in 7th is third house from its home-5th natural placement.
Venus rules the 2nd and 7th house in the natural zodiac. So when in 6th, its 5th from the 2nd-emphasizes creativity and fun through work associations. The collaboration typically brings out your creative persona(6th) when it comes to attaining security needs(2nd).
One enjoys working towards security needs which can bring out a more attractive nature to those one works with. When we feel good we are naturally more attractive. Perhaps a love interest will come through work socializing or office parties?
And Venus in 6th certainly suggests bringing out this positive energy at work(barring Saturn/Pluto aspects to it). So one is attractive to be around at work and there could certainly be crushes or someone fancying them there.
Venus in 6th is also 12 houses away from its own natural placement(7th). Here the empathetic, devotional qualities the native has towards colleagues or work-mates is emphasized. There is a tendency to nurture relations by being charitable with them or understanding etc.
Another interpretation being that the native may love working that they don't even feel they need to get paid for it. Working late or working overtime is likely. There is an inherent workaholic nature as work is treated like a vocation.
With so mucb "work" emphasis already gleaned at , I would look at where Mercury/Saturn is at. What is happening in the 12th house as well as the 10th etc.
From this hypothetical chart, one can discern already that the native is likely to meet their love interest through something work-related. Because their focus is there.
