I had a lady I worked with who had Mercury in Aries. She was very hot tempered. This despite Taurus Sun/Pisces Moon. And add that, Saturn on Sun made her come across as "mean".But then again Mars is opposite Sun.Yes, the 12th can be a lonesome place for the social and communicative Mercury to be in. The 12th house is affiliated with long distance and foreign lands(much like the 9th).
And so, it can feel like(atleast from a metaphorical sense) that you are on the outside looking in or that you are far removed from the people around you that it becomes hard to communicate and/or relate to them.
This is kinda like making a speech to a crowd of people without a microphone. You are likely going to be indiscernible to most people. And getting angry about that will not help the situation but surely exacerbate not only people's frustration with you. But you with them.
I would suggest that you centre yourself and assert yourself(Aries) only in the end goal of being understood and/or heard. In that that should be your sole intent and the purpose of where your passion goes.
So the assumption should not so much be on"why don't you know this already?" But changed to"am I understood"? or "what can I do better to ensure i sm effectively heard?".
This includes finding other alternatives or innovative ways to communicate.Whether this is body language, voice tone, hand gestures etc.
This is where Aries energy can go. Because anger aborts connection and fuels the distance between you and the people you are communicating with. Remember that.Nobody enjoys being around an angry person. So they are not likely to hear you because people listen with emotions(always).
When in 12th, Mercury is 10th from its ruling house(3rd) and this can suggest some difficulties in being verbally expressive (Saturn rules the 10th).
