I’ll elaborate most on the strongest major aspects: conjunction and parallel, square, opposition and contra-parallel; not as much with the flowing, gentler transits.

Neptune is the higher octave of Venus and its energy and purpose is a transpersonal response to life, the faculty of imagination, subconscious/superconscious, heightened sensitivity to what lies outside the narrow ray of conscious focus.

Neptune’s stimulus of imagination can get confused with illusions, disappointments, or letdowns during these hard transits, but the whole process is a learning experience of a subjective nature. What matters is getting out of the beta state and into the deeper, more open, creative states of consciousness as shown here:

So we tap into Neptune’s energetic potential when we relax, let go of conscious ordering of our existence and utilize creative states of mind, hypnosis, meditation, prayer, etc.

Neptune’s transits of longitude become active within 5.5° degrees of exact conjunction, square, trine, or opposition of a natal planet, lasting 3-5 years. Sextiles are active within about 4° of exact aspect and usually last around 3 years. In declination, parallels and contra-parallels are active within roughly 0°50′ – 1° of exact, lasting 2-3 years.

Neptune transits to natal Moon

These transits can produce unusual moods and alterations of perception. You may have shifts in perceptions of your past through memory resurgence. A sense of alienation, euphoria or dysphoria are common, but can change quickly with changes in environment, patterns of sleep or self care. Treat all such transits as periods of a few years of heightened sensitivity which may produce ideas that should not necessarily be believed, but simply allowed as a phase of your current growth.

Neptune conjunct or parallel natal Moon

This transit brings a trans-personal influence of the ineffable, so don’t try to capture any of it with words. It’ll be hard enough for me to describe it here in a useful way.

It greatly heightens sensitivity to your own feeling nuances, even your dream life. Dream life and waking life may seem to merge at times. So make use of it by keeping a bedside notebook for anything that comes through. A dream interpretation book may also be helpful. If dream-like metaphoric perceptions intrude upon your waking life, just understand that we are all participating in a co-created dream in material dimensions that mean intuition and perception are just as important as logic or reason, that they can be integrated.

As someone going through a neptune square sun transit, the description really explained my circumstances lately, and this helps a lot:

"Just bring the focus back to what you can do today in the direction of an ideal or vision that you can change as needed"

and this: "Whereas you may have been speeding along at a good pace previously, you are now having to slow down and tune in to intuition, like when you’ve gone to a place you can’t find on the map"

ahh, especially with transit jupiter going over my sun/mercury in the 5th, it's been like an extreme stop/start thing happening that feels out of control!
