It gives you the “flavor” of an Aries Mars since Aries is the natural first house sign and Mars rules over it. Even though your Cancer Mars is completely different than the aggressive Aries Mars, you’ll still resonate with Aries Mars energy since your Mars is in the first house. I’ve got my Taurus sun exactly conjunct my 11th house cusp, and we all know Aquarius is the natural 11th house sign. The 11th house is about friends and groups and even though I don’t have Aquarius on the 11th house cusp, I still have the Aquarian “flavor” infusing my Taurus sun conjunct 11th house cusp. Many of my friends are free-spirited bohemians which is completely something you think of when you think of Aquarius, plus, since Taurus is my 11th house, I see the Taurean influence there with them all being naturally gifted in the arts.

For you, perhaps you have that Aries Mars energy in the sense that you’re not afraid to speak up and defend yourself, which is something Cancer Mars people struggle with. But perhaps your Cancer Mars shines through when you relate to people. Maybe you are direct and not afraid of confrontation (Mars in Aries 1st house), but you converse with people who have wronged you in a tactful and not super aggressive manner (Mars in Cancer 1st house).

Similar...yes.

I try not to be brazen.But apparently I can be.Mars is also opp my Asc in Aries and Mars is in aspect 9 times.

I have an Aries Ascendant as well my chart ruler Mars in the first house and don't relate to Aries energy. I've always identified my Mars with the sign it's in, which is Taurus. That very on and off sort of energy, where when I'm on, I'm very much on, and when I'm not, I'm an immobile boulder that needs a good, forceful nudge to do anything. The energy, however, is scattered towards first house interests, anything aimed at the self. Like my life goals, self-improvement, self-image, etc. Mars in the 1st house has a tendency towards self-absorption and striving to be the best at whatever it is that is important to them.
