Am I the only person who has noticed this? This especially Moon/Asc and Sun there.

As much as this sign often comes across very bright and eloquent. There are also a great many of them whom I have come across that either play "dumb" or take on a "ditzy" persona.

Kyle Minogue (Gem Sun,Moon,Merc,Ven and Mars) built her music career around the "ditzy" blonde bombshell image.

Pamela Anderson(Asc in Gem) is known for her ditzy blonde role in "Baywatch". What followed thereafter was the awful and silly "Don't call me Babe" -"Barbed Wire" movie.

She actually is very smart. Her Iq(i read)is higher than the average person. And so does famous pixie haircut blonde Sharon Stone.

Marilyn Monroe(Gem Asc and Aries Sun-Not Gemini Sun as believed) was also legendary for playing the blonde "ditzy" bimbo. This even when she wanted more dramatic roles and to be taken seriously as an actress. The studios kept on type-casting her.

Jessica Simpson(Cancer Sun /Gem Moon) became more infamous for her questionable "Is this chicken or fish?" comment on her reality show with Nick Lachey than her "singing" career.

This comment happened after Nick Lachey(on the reality show) served her tuna for lunch. The tuna in question had a catchy slogan :"Chicken of the sea".

Donald Trump(Gem Sun) is often made fun of because of his comments and written off as "not all there" upstairs.

I find this curious since if he was so "dumb", how did he become wealthier than the average individual? And then even get to be President? There must be something more to the story. No?

I could swear the abbreviated term "OMG" was coined by a Gemini somewhere. And I associate the platinum blonde colour with Gemini. As I do YouTube,Twitter and Facebook- where people can go viral for saying/doing the most absurd of things

It's like doing a body feint in soccer, you lean towards this side, your opponent leans towards this side, then you dribble past him through the other side and go to buy yourself some hot-dogs.

Long ago I had acted in community-theatre productions, which enjoyed being in dramatic regional competitions. A few times, I was cast in one of those kinds of ditzy-bimbo/comedy roles.

It was Fun. It brought an element of Playfulness.
I was good at it.

Could also go the SPAN of the other extreme, to do the spinster & meanie roles, and won awards {for my acting-team} for doing so. {Not as fun as people can project awful energies at you for that 'image' you presented to their subconscious mind, even when they see you in public afterwards.}

Never Underestimate a Gemmy! They can link you up to Worlds you hadn't considered. Fun, Comical, Simple -- OR Serious, Complex, and 'Sophisticatedly-Complicated'. They encompass BOTH. Adaptable.

Lol! I'm certainly guilty of this! Sun in Gemini with Mercury conjunct Mars on the Midheaven, and opposite Neptune on the IC. Scatterbrained Gemini with added babble and ditz!

Speaking from the UK, there's also Boris Johnson, our current (and controversial) PM (Gemini Sun, Venus & Mars) who is well known for projecting a faux "buffoon" persona.

What I get from the (many) Geminis I have known is that... Daaaammmn... are they silver-tongued. Not in obviously schmoozy way - in fact, its part of their talent that it doesn't appear to be schmoozy at all. But, in my experience, it is true: when it comes to words, most Geminis are masters. As a Cappy, the only time I've managed to win an arguement is by placing the facts on the table and getting them to acknowledge them. And even then, it'll get spun as a win:win...

So you can see that with Trump and Boris. They've a way with words.

Another fascinating fact: the most respected rappers tend to be Geminis: Tupac, Biggie, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Andre 3000... all Geminis.

I think that perhaps Gemini is only looking to have fun. That's top priority.Whatever that "top priority" encompasses; whether its playing "dumb" or being the mental wizard etc. They will do it.

But I read that it takes someone really smart to play a "dumb" role successfully. And I think that it's this paradox that is at the heart of Gemini?

Gemini can pull the biggest feat of all by taking over the world through being someone people least expect to be able to do it.

Do you know that there are people who voted for Trump as a "joke"? Some initially believed him "silly" to be even thinking of campaigning as a Presidential candidate? And now look who has the last laugh?

Don't count the Gemini out just yet. They can spin things over.

I kinda think Boris looks like a blonde aging Labrador And from what I have seen in pictures between him and Trump, its two peas in "faux" pod of ultimate buffoonery

Other characters I associate with Gemini are "Friends" characters Joe and Phoebe.

I looked up both Joe Tribboani(Matt Le Blanc) and Phoebe's (Lisa Kudrow) charts. And I could have sworn I would think to find Gemini somewhere. But nope!

Its interesting how both have water Moons; Joe(Moon in Pisces) and Kudrow(Moon in Scorpio). These two intense energies are able to give meaning and depth to otherwise ditzy characters is genius.Perhaps that is what made them endearing?

The way they were able to play both characters so well without annoying viewers and appearing on differing levels of "dumb" in the same sitcom, was pure genius.

Interestingly, Courtney Cox is a Gemini Sun. But on the sitcom, she came across more Virgo but with a hint of Capricorn. And she does have Saturn/Moon square natally with Moon in Virgo! And she did come across less "funny" than the others.

I still remember "smelly cat" though;

" Smelly cat, smelly cat. What are they feeding you?
Smelly cat, smelly cat. It's not your fault!"

Lalalala

Often the ditz happens unconsciously... My own mind playing tricks on me. But at times I will play it up on purpose. The volatile quick wit of a Gemini can be kind of intimidating, and I don't want that. So I play dumb, or at least a bit slow. And yeah... if it will make someone laugh then all the better!

I'm a Gemini Moon/Venus, and I'm usually the one throwing facts around, when I get into it with my cappy sister (we don't talk anymore). She's usually smart, but she's been known to make really stupid arguments, in relation to her husband, for instance. Anything to attack someone else.

One thing I remember is that she would try to insult me in ways that would actually hurt her. I wasn't fat, but she called me fat, things like that. So I would ask her why she was doing that. Her husband actually tried to chat me up, by telling me that I was so much smarter than my sister, and my mother. I wondered what he was going on about, I was really tired, told him that wasn't true. Then I found out what he was up to.

As a Gemini Moon/Venus/SN, I can be smart in ways, but I can also be really stupid in ways. Just plain dense. I have astro friends who talk about different charts and transits, one said last week, "this is an easy one" but I couldn't figure it out. I didn't see the option at astro.com, and finally had to ask someone to walk me through it - and then I burned myself, so I haven't gone back to figure it out.

But if someone calls me stupid? Tries to put me down, I won't stand for it. I put up with too much, for years.

It's kind of strange though because if you notice most of them are blonde lol it's like they are the reason people stereotype blondes as airheads.
And it's funny we can seem to find a correlation if we look enough.
I don't really think it's a Gemini thing. People think Im "ditzy" and I have no Gemini in my chart. Im not a blonde either lol. I used to really dislike when people would call me an airhead. I felt like it was inaccurate. People don't take me seriously because of it but I have a lot going on inside. Is there anything in a chart to indicate that?
But I guess you mean someone who is playing the part of one or someone who is misunderstood as one. Is there a difference?

Donald Trump I believe is really not all there. He's pretty unintelligent. I don't think he's ditzy. But unintelligent.

My family is full of Geminis so I feel like they are very familiar to me. None of them play off the ditzy persona.

I don't know what the correlation is but it's interesting that all of them play the ditzy blonde persona, because most Gemini people I know are not like that 🤔

Don't get me wrong, the Geminis I know can throw around facts aplenty too - they're probably more clued-up fact-wise than me. But the ones I've had arguments with have a talent for being selective or spinning said facts in a favourable way. So its taken me going through data methodically, recording details and sifting through emails word-for-word, etc, etc* and then holding it up for all to see so that it can't be spun to suit. Not saying all Geminis are like this (I wouldn't want to tar an entire sign with one brush). But certainly a couple I've known - and its probably more that they've put the Gemini talent as great communicators to bad use as opposed to it being an innate Gemini trait per se. And I think you can see that with Donald and Boris. Certainly the latter in the last couple of weeks...

*Thinking about it, maybe this is more a trait of my Virgo Moon and 6th House Stellium. Certainly sounds persnickety enough!

I wasn't offended, you just reminded me of that. It used to ground me too, so that I wouldn't get so wound up.

My Mercury/Ceres/Chiron/Sun are all in the 6th house (Aries). I hadn't thought of that.

I mean I do this dumb persona to just make people think I'm a certain way and do my business on the side without much disturbance(not that I hate attention, but people asking about this and that and jajaja can be annoying and too "I forgot the ******* word" ), my cousin does it too, another Gemini Moon.

Yes. We play stupid, but we're definitely not. Being a Gemini Moon and Mars, I've known many female Geminis, and all of them have this tendency to come off as ditzy, spastic, etc. but they are very aware of inner workings (of themselves and others). They try to trick and fool you into believing that they really don't know any better.

They can also play ditzy/dumb when they've not taken care of something that they should have so that they can come off innocent. I've seen this happen too many times. They KNOW when they dropped the ball, but they're not going to let YOU know that. I get really annoyed with that trait and like to call them out on it. If you've messed up or just totally ignored something, tell me so that I can address it. It's not a good thing to do in the work place, which is where I've seen it play out the most.

I have too much Virgo, Capricorn, and Scorpio in my chart to stand it. My Gemini Moon and Mars are in my 4th house. I feel guilty if I don't immediately take care of things, fix problems, etc. It causes too much inner turmoil, and I don't like seeing disappointment or anger on another person's face. I also don't like playing dumb because I don't like the stereotypes that it perpetuates. It's an insult to my own intelligence to reduce myself to that level. But I might be one of the few Gemini Moons that feels that way. I haven't met a whole lot like that.

I don't play dumb, either, and if I screw up, I admit it. My buzzer is going off, can't write more right now.

I have had problems with four Gemini women (that I know of) in my lifetime. My grandmother, a cousin, a neighbour, and an online friend, or frenemy, she's changeable. The neighbour is one of the few people that I've frozen out, and never spoken to again. The online friend, I ignored until she stopped trying to wind me up.

I actually stopped talking to an Aries man, years ago, because he insulted my intelligence. I can never remember his name - my mother remembered it, but not me.

I'm also not ashamed to ask for help, when I need it. If I'm not getting something, I ask. Maybe that's my Aries. Nobody should be ashamed of having to ask for help.

Now that I think about it, I've actually had problems with Cappies playing dumb, and lying. A couple of them. One from this site. That is something that I will never forget. They could have told the truth and stopped something in its tracks, but they didn't. I will never let that go.

I concur, his Mercury is in Cancer not in Gemini.

So not having the ruling planet is one strike.

I've always had the vibe he was more Cancer then a Gemini both in manner and poise.

His decisions are emotionally triggered and similar to a Cancer male always goes on the offensive when he feels threatened and needs to feel appreciated...again that's
very much a Cancer man trait.

A more genuine Gemini male is closer to a pure tactician, Such as Heinz Guedrian and Henry Kissinger and know when is the right time to make a move then stay out of the radar.

I just see Trump as a showboat, not a brilliant tactician.

As per business his family was already established in real estate, with mutable signs look for clues in there early life.

Also the Chinese built a great wall and that failed, you'd think you'd learn from someones else's mistake and not repeat it 2000 yrs later.

FYI: I'm more of a John F. Kennedy kind of Gemini then a trump kind a Gemini guy, just lack the skill with the ladies.

I'd say its part of the persona.

They'll come off as dumb and ditzy then out of no where do something that makes the most amount of sense or do something logical.

My best Aquarius female friend (I'm male) has a Gemini female sister that drives me nuts...I secretly tell my Aquarius friend your Sister J is so dumb and thinks she knows everything, to which she adds she's born one day after you.

Then time passes and I say to both of them, "here's the plan...if we just use a quarter of gas in the car, I bet X would never notice how much gas he uses vs what we use and will keep filling it up without us having to"

Then her Gemini sister suddenly agrees to my logic and sees more eye-eye more so then my Aquarius friend.
