Maybe this has already been discussed. But some of the moons of other planets seem to be nearly as big as other planets in the solar system. Do we not use them because they’re orbiting another planet? Hopefully my question makes sense.

Just top of mind (which may be wrong) I'd say the Moons of a planet are an integral part in the planet's own energy-system.
A more knowing person here can perhaps confirm/dismiss this suggestion.
