What is the difference between the two? What exactly constitutes a plutonic person in the first place?

Pluto in close conjunction or parallel Asc, or same with Midheaven; or Pluto in middle of stellium with personal planets, luminaries, etc.

Scorpio is a 30-degree arc of the fixed water mode of expression. So it is general. Pluto is the energy itself and in such close aspects it is more specific, thus a stronger compared to Scorpio over the cusp of those same points (Asc, MC) or with it containing a stellium.

I feel like Plutonic energy makes a person intensely inquisitive. Pluto is also about extremes and the all-or-nothing attitude. They love getting to the heart of things for the sake of discovery.

Scorpio is similar, except with a different motive. I'm still searching for the right description for it; but it seems that Scorpio tends to be self-serving/motivated whereas Plutonians just want to find out for the sake of finding out.

Scorpio is definitely Martian energy on a more intense level and leans more to the shadows; Pluto is all about jumping into the shadows.

In a nutshell, Scorpio is about intense PASSION while Pluto is about INQUISITION.

......and NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION! /end Monty Python reference

Which also captures how people feel towards Plutonians in general, hahaha. With Scorpio it's easier to see it coming.

The reason I'm putting it this way is because I notice people love Scorpios more readily than Plutonians. There's something about Plutonians, it's as if their presence alone amplifies the fear most people have of their insecurities being found out.

I'd love to hear the experienced astrologers' comments on the energies.
