Thank you for the thoughtful reply and feedback in general Xodian, and especially for this:
quote:
I am sorry to hear that you have been suffering from depression and that it has been effecting you from living the life you want to live. Depression is not an easy thing to deal with but I am certain that you will surpass the hurdle in time .

And no, I personally don't find anything that you said as "preachy" in anyway. If anything, I welcome a well thought out post backed by proof and research.

Thankfully in my case, it's not clinical depression so much as situational/circumstantial induced depression. The Sun is my chart ruler and is widely conjunct Mercury, both in Crappicorn (smile). Mercury rules the 2nd and 11th Houses, as well as North Node, Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn Sign placements. I.e., two rather sensitive/receptive/highlighted Planets.

With both T. Saturn and Pluto going back and forth over these for awhile, let's just say, life has been a little testing and "extra" of late. It feels like I've been run through a very stony and thorny garden, while all I wanted to do was be Ferdinand the Bull and look at and smell some pretty flowers. "Goshdarnit, why can't I just friqqen smell some pretty friqquen flowers already! But NOOOO, I have to be tortured by being drug through the stones and thorns.. Well F'U 'higher self'" (Leo Rising & very strong Jupiter, coming out just a wee bit).

I just have to hold on till February, when these leave conjunction with the Sun, and Jupiter starts conjoining Mercury and Sun conjunction, and trines Virgo N. Jupiter Mars conjunction and Taurus MidHeaven at the same time. Compared to this now, life will be grand, I imagine.

What's the rest of her chart like?

I think it can also just be preferences. But I don't think as Virgo rising alone is enough to want to live a healthy lifestyle. My mom is a Virgo moon and lately she's trying to be "healthy" but she had always eaten fast food before. But she's hanging around LA people who are all about healthy and Vegan lifestyles so she is trying to be more like them. She tries to be healthy but I catch her eating In N Out and Taco Bell like once a week. She's very inconsistent lol

The rest of my mom's chart:

She's just never cared for cooking, I think that's why she resorts to fast food. My dad was always the cook (cancer moon). Now that he's passed, maybe she'll start cooking again? Not sure.

Oh, nothing is buried here. This is more than anything like that. It's been going on for almost ten years now.

im a virgo sun, aries moon, libra rising/venus, leo mercury, cap mars

I'm still trying to meal plan/prep here, not doing so well, but I've made a few things.

Yesterday, I was hungry when we were out, so I went for taco bell, for the first time in over a year, I think. Now that I have a favourite Mexican restaurant, I've gone there, or made something at home. The burrito I got from Taco bell, was so bad. It wasn't even warm. We should have taken it back. Dad's was the same way. Just awful.

ive never had food from there so i have no idea of what it's even like warm

cant be bothered with food prep or planning either though, it makes me very uneasy to commit to things so far in advance and it would take a long time for me to even make decisions like that

i didnt eat at all the other day because i couldnt figure out what i felt like eating, ended up getting drunk instead and going for a walk

by the time i got back i was too tired to eat so i just slept instead

i struggle with minor decisions like that, and the idea of making a plan and sticking to it makes me anxious as ****

feels like im boxing myself in without knowing whether or not i'll even want something in a few days
