Do you know an exact number? I'm using the "ARMC 361°/Prog.Day" option, is that still the valid option that you use? Thx!IP: Logged |

Yes, that's it. The Asc moves all the way around the zodiac every day = 361°. So that is the total movement for each year of progression. So its mean progressed movement is just under 1° per day given the year is 365.25 days.------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |

So, when I'm looking at someone's Progressed Chart, why does the Ascendant move 1°50ish'? How would I rectify the chart for someone who wants to know, when UT is about 11hrs37ish', ahead of the time she gave birth? I know her Progressed Descendant passing over Progressed Mars is the trigger for the event (counting the 5' culmination). So how much further ahead would I actually have to put her Progressed Ascendant/Desendant axis to arrive to the proper 5' culmination? Her Progressed Mars is 1°18'19", with her Progressed Desendant right behind it. IP: Logged |

Honestly, I have no idea how to answer any of those questions without chart and event information in front of me. And I'm not sure where to even start with such questions surrounding an attempt to rectify.------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |

"Another method of calculating the progressive axes and houses is to apply the equation 1 year = 1 day to the Earth's daily rotation. Since the meridian moves forward by about 361° within a day, it would actually be logical to let the progressive MC run forward by 361° in the course of a year of life. Astrodienst offers this progression method under the designation "ARMC 361° / prog. Day". (Strictly speaking, the other two calculation methods mentioned above for the progressive axes are not real secondary progressions, but primary directions.)" ...
