My boyfriend’s Aquarius Moon is in exact square to Saturn, and I know he’s never had the best relationship with his father; nonetheless, he’s still somewhat present in his life.

His parents divorced when he was younger, so his Dad was completely absent in his childhood.
He have very open and honest communication; therefore, we’re both excellent at expressing our thoughts and feelings with each other. He is very comfortable with me emotionally, which is surprising for someone with Moon square Saturn. But then again, I’m still in the process of acquiring his birth time, in order to get some House Placement Precision.

If it is of relevance, he has Moon square Pluto as well, which I think would explain the depth and intensity of his feelings for me; especially for an Aquarius Moon.

I have Moon parallel Saturn and Venus square Saturn. Moon square Saturn has an impact on our emotions. And Venus square Saturn impacts our love nature. I think having Moon square Saturn makes me distance. When it comes to expressing my emotions. I have a difficult time and it's even more so because I have Moon in Aquarius. Venus square Saturn can also make a person not feel worthy of love.

Both aspects relate to challenges of self-worth, and the tendency to get caught up in trying to prove one's worth to others or the world. Both relate to fear that must be resolve through vulnerability, learning to relax and warm up to others.

These may be experienced through the relationship with at least one of the parents, but the pattern is perpetuated most often if it is believed the parents are the cause of these imbalances of personality. So getting stuck in blame only ensures getting stuck in the pattern.

Moon square Saturn is the very picture of a pattern of fear or at least restraint out of self-protection in which a self-fulfilling prophecy can take hold that I don't deserve ... am undeserving ... something will always get in the way of what I need, etc.

However, I also think Moon square Saturn can be an aspect of karma in which in a particular lifetime the choice is made to try resolving past issues/experiences with the soul who enters life first to be the parent.

If you don't have his time of birth yet you can't know how tight Moon's relation to Saturn is. Depending on its noon position, it may not be a square at all. So I assume you mean they are in exact square using noon to time his planetary positions.

With both aspects the dynamic and meaning actually depends on how strong Moon, Venus, Saturn are. If Moon/Venus is strong overall, but Saturn is weak that is far different from the reverse.

These two old articles from Sasstrology were so good on that!
http://sasstrology.com/2015/02/afraid-to-love-the-venus-saturn-and-moon-saturn-man.html
Written for a woman, but for comparison: http://sasstrology.com/2015/03/the-moon-saturn-and-venus-saturn-woman.html

Sadly you can't read all of it unless with a membership, but what you can really lays it all out.

I think Saturn puts fear into and limits onto both of the planets, just in a different way. There is a *huge* need for control (more often themselves instead of others) over either their moon or Venus nature.

With the moon, it's about comfort, what someone feels comfortable with and familiar, their habits and emotions, how they process them, etc.

With Venus, these limits/fear is now about their way of showing love, attracting, socializing, money and values (or how it has shaped their values).

Saturn can keep someone stuck in their ways, especially with the moon, which is also about habits and such. I can see it also play out strongly if they are in fixed signs, or if a house like the 2nd is also involved. This does not have to be because they want to. Sometimes it's external circumstances, sometimes it's internal, where they may unconsciously limit themselves in either expressing feelings and comfort (moon) or expressing love, being social (Venus).

I would also think that because Saturn is in Aquarius (the moon sign), it may have a stronger impact. Honest communication and giving him a genuine feeling that it's okay to open up would absolutely help with his moon! I should know as a Saturnine moon myself . Also check what Uranus is doing in the chart, as it rules his moon sign and some of that moon energy is probably also expressed through that.

From your post, I think you want to know what it's like compared to an aspect you have? Sorry if I didn't catch that.

Ive got moon sq saturn. Mother abandonment issues from when young. I find i push people away before they can push me away. Feel like im not good enough, feel like people don't like me, always feel like i need to be of service to someone to make them like me (saturn in virgo). Tend to keep myself to myself, friendship circle is very very small, and even they are kept at arms length.

But in my case it doesn't help that Saturn also conjuncts my Sun, so ive kinda got a double whammy going on.

Also my Father died when i was very young. And my Sun/Saturn is 8th house.

Hmm, I've heard of Saturn influence sometimes limiting friendships, or making one very serious about their friends. Do you have anything significant going on in your 11th House?

No my 11th house is empty. 11th ruler mars is in the 9th house conjunct Venus/pluto.
