i have what other people call my "robot mode" where at a certain point im just done and there just arent feelings anymore

i just legit stop giving a **** entirely and that's it, no matter how invested i was or how hard i tried or wouldve continued to try there's a point where im just done and then there's no feelings

i can go very numb, but it takes a lot because im generally the kind of person who will deal with a lot and give a lot of chances etc

so it surprises people when theyre closer to me and see that being "dead to me" is entirely possible

@SoulOfABird

What sign is your Venus in then? Which houses are your Venus & Mars in? I'm curious now lol

@Dumuzi

So true about people being "dead" to us. I don't care how close I was to you. If you go too far with me, it's over! I go from warm to ICE COLD and it really f*ks these people up.

My SHADE is not "petty" though. As an Aries, I'm very much a straight shooter! After I've spoken to you and given you a chance though, I'll treat you like you are totally irrelevant if you screw up again after that.

That's my point.

Cap moon but, yep, never liked the common portrait of Cappy energy. Never minded though, more for us who know better

shade by definition is petty **** though, you can cut someone out and feel nothing for them without any of that **** afterwards

i don't see a reason to avoid being civil after **** when i have to interact, if there's a fight that's one thing but after? cant say i give a **** enough to keep things going

but yeah being shady is literally just petty **** , by definition, so if that's not how you meant it maybe it wasnt the best word choice

just saying

SHADE is not my main form of expressing displeasure. It is in my Tool Box though if needed. Has nothing to do with keeping things "going."

We will have to agree to disagree about it being petty.

@LovelyAries86

My Venus is in Pisces in the 1st house, my mars is in the 7th house.
What is your Venus? Do you also relate more to your Venus sign when it comes to love/sexuality? Or do you feel your Cap mars more?

You made up your OWN definition of what shade means. YOU see it as talking sh*t, not me. I said treat the person like they're irrelevant.

As I said before, let's agree to disagree. No need to go in circles over this "petty" sh*t.

How do you lack charm/charisma having Venus in the 1st house, girl?!

I have Taurus Venus in the 8th. It's a very huge part of who I am. Even moreso than my Mars! Gives me a ton of layers, let me just say that.

i didnt make up my own definition of it though, that's literally part of the actual definition of the slang term

throwing shade isnt just treating someone like they're irrelevant it's going about it in a sort of passive aggressive **** talking kind of way (by definition) that's why i asked you to clarify because i was trying to understand what you meant

definitions of words aren't really arbitrary things that's why i was looking for clarity on it

considering we were talking about cap mars behavior and the coldness aspect of it (which i brought up) it seemed necessary to understand what you were saying

but yeah that's legit not my own personal definition of it at any rate

there are no circles to go in, whole point in finding clarity is to stop going in circles

Grimes is SEXY AF, and has Cap Mars. Her Mars conjuncts Neptune, and she has Venus in Taurus opposite Pluto so it is no wonder she oozes sex appeal... so the moral of the story is other factors can override QualityX of Placement/Aspect.

@ULT

I'd never heard of Grimes before your post. She & I do share the same Venus/Mars combo though.

What do you love about her the most?

Probably my 12th house stellium! And my Saturn is in the 1st house as well lol so definitely dulls out my 1st house venus😂I have recorded myself talking, and ugh I hate it, I feel like I look so weird, I have a weird disposition about me and my voice is squeaky like a 10 year old not really attractive LOL probably all my Aqua and Pisces energy makes me weird indeed

Oh wow that's a very lovely placement for Venus. No wonder you're passionate! That 8th house Venus runs deep! Taurus is a nice placement for Venus in my opinion 👌🏼

I like to sing (A LOT), and one of the things you learn about singing and the voice in general is that it's very common for people to have a weird reaction to hearing their own recorded voices, whether talking or singing, and that's because we hear it differently in our body than how others or microphones pick it up as.

To our ears in the moment when speaking or singing, our voice sounds more resonant and rich. Has to do with how it vibrates IN our head, and not just outside of it in the air (sound vibration in general).

Anyways, this is a pretty common thing for people to initially not like their own voice when they hear it recorded. It's a sort of cognitive dissonance thing. It sounds more high pitched, dull and flat in a recording than what we hear it as.

There's a lot (including this) that what I call "pop astrology" gets VERY wrong. But the old books are much more accurate. Even Linda Goodman, whose works one must filter out the times it was written in since the world was very different then socially, are more accurate than a lot of astrology I come across today. (Sometimes LG took it to an extreme, but I got the impression she was being tongue in cheek as she did so which was very entertaining and contributed to the popularity of her books.)

Though that said, I know even a few hours can make a huge difference. I think a high school teacher I had believed in astrology and had her beliefs challenged when she learned when I, and another girl who were like complete opposites in almost every way, were born the same day in the same hospital (as an adult I'd later find out the TOB to realize my 5H was her 12H and I think that's what caused such friction and divergence between us, though it wasn't the sole factor).

That, and unlike most girls we weren't passive aggressive. Neither of us was Jerry Springer in your face or prone to drama and profanity, but we told it as we saw it, and could be as harsh as Judge Judy and even cruel as Putin (both Libras as well, btw), not spineless little girls scared that people wouldn't hold our hands or needing a fashion magazine to tell us how to dress (I'd say a Libra is more likely to contribute to fashion magazines than be slaves to them), which goes against the all too common Wrong AF about Libra sun and merc. It's one of the very few ways that she and I were alike (and why plenty had sense enough to not get caught in our crossfire between each other, just watch from a distance with popcorn in hand).

I've mentioned on LL before how Wrong AF the typical "Cappie Mars" description was when applied to those I've known well, too, among others.

Thing is, the classics don't make these mistakes. I'm not entirely sure how pop astrology has drifted so far into what it is today...a bunch of Wrong AF groupthink and confirmation bias. As best as I can tell, it seems like it's focused on a mix of romantic inclinations (which are going to vary by other factors that are just as important as the sun or moon but this gets ignored) with traditional romantic memes and then applied to every other aspect of life and as if a person couldn't be more complex than that.

Hell, I've done it myself. I used to avoid strong Cancer and Scorpio placements because of Wrong AF common assumptions. Glad I learned better (or put more concisely, glad I gained a much more nuanced view without the mistake of envisioning a trait as an extreme).

@PixieJane

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! 😁 You are so right about modern "pop" astrology. Many of these Astrologers are a HOT MESS.

I love "the classics" in general - the cars, the fashions, the astrology and even *some* of the values. My Cap Mars may have something to do with that!

Let’s resurrect!

I was researching Cap Mars bcs a new friend has his Cap Mars conjunct my Cap Moon. Hot damn indeed!

But a lot of what you say about Cap Mars resonates for me as Moon. My Cap Moon is 2nd house, so a little Taurus flavor. I’m cool and collected, but emotions are huge beneath the surface (opposite Sun and Jupiter, trine Mars). Cross my lines though and yes, dead to me. I will talk to you, be friendly or civil, but you will feel the chill. It’s not something I really have control over, it just is.

This thread is funny

I have read mostly positive things about Mars in Capricorn because Mars is said to be exalted there.

As with all planetary positions, one has to consider the house in which the planet is placed.

I dated someone who had Mars in Capp in the 12th house. One of his favorite ways of having fun was mountain climbing. He never saw a mountain he wouldn't climb. He spent decades climbing rocks and hanging at dizzying heights off cliffs and steep slopes, taunting death. This is the way his goat climbing Mars expressed itself in the 12th house.
