Hello, I am an 8th House Virgo Sun with Mercury and Chiron also in my 8th house. I also have a grand water trine and so I'm unsure if this is where this gift comes from or if it's the 8th House stuff?
If anyone else is an 8th House Sun, do you often have prophetic dreams of dreams of people dying that come to pass? I know that Scorpio deals with death and transformation but a lot of the time, I do have prophetic dreams and often, they are about death.

Sometimes they are literally death and sometimes they are not and are just transformation. Death seems to be my specialty in the sense of I can sense physical death when it is near and spirits or whatever you want to call them, try to contact me often. What are your experiences being an 8th House sun or knowing an 8th House Sun person?

I know someone like this, but he's a 8H Gemini. We personally think it was a near death experience (and out of body) he had as a small child that brought it (and other strange experiences) about, and though they faded, he had some intense visions and experiences about the same after a concussion (that that also faded).

He still has a bit of psychic zing to him, and always knows when the carpet's going to be pulled out from under him in a big way by his symbolic nightmares (but they're so familiar and come with a feeling that's unmistakable), and he's certain that when he dies he'll know about it days if not weeks in advance. A few years ago he also kept hearing his brother in his head commenting on a lot which was unusual so he looked him up and found out his brother had died recently, and he claims he knows it was a suicide though it wasn't listed as one.

I'm an 8th house Virgo Sun & Mercury. I also have Scorpio MC with Pluto conjunct it. Sun and Mercury sextile Pluto, as well. I have a 12th house stellium.

I second PixieJane on the near death experience at a young age. I was 11 when I nearly drowned in a pool - as in, had the euphoric feeling, had given up and stopped fighting - right before being pulled out. Then had another near death experience at 19. Since then, I've had night terrors and sleep paralysis and attracted everything from mischievous ghosts and spirits that used to open my locked doors in my haunted 200 year old college dorm to more menacing ones that would growl, slam doors or break things in my old house. I work in a very old hospital as well and interesting things seem to happen to me while I'm there. I pretty much always know when "something else" is in the room - ghost, spirit, whatever it may be. It doesn't scare me, anymore. I acknowledge things/people and move on. I guess I'm so used to it at this point that it's become normal to see/hear things that aren't normal.

As for the dreams, yes. I have very vivid dreams and I've woken up crying before, having dreamed that I've lost someone close to me. I often have very strong feelings about someone close to me, and feel the urge to check in on them and make sure they're okay.

8th house sun and jupiter in Cancer. However, moon in Cap and Uranus in 12th seem to limit my psychic ability.

I have very vivid dreams, but I have never been able to ascertain any dire meaning from them. But I dream every night. No near death, but Stubborn Virgo mentioned sleep paralysis and I struggled with that for 15 years!!!!

The Sun is where we tend to want to shine. Where we consider & declare ourselves "KING".It is where we light the path and where(unless there is an aspect from Pluto/Neptune)we want to be "seen" in our full selves.

When in the 8th,we want to be seen & acknowledged for our insight into serious matters such as death/ sexual intimacy and may leave a legacy of someone who was very much aor extremely domineering person.

The father(Sun)may have had a profound effect on one. And much of his personality lives through one. The likelihood of the Father dying early and the native having to be strong enough to "take over", is likely i.e " The Lion King" Simba and Mufasa relationship.

Sexual intimacy and even all that is taboo around it can have such a profound awakening on us,that it becomes the definitive experience we base our life off of-whether for good or ill

Sun in 8th live from the heart centre i.e it has to be authentic, real and heartfelt. No secrets,no superficial living, no psychological conditioning etc.it just wont do-this especially with "all head in" Aries Sun & Leo.

Its no wonder the eigth house person makes people very uncomfortable to be around. The native can be the type who wears 8th house "secrets" and "controversial" matters out in the open and can seem "fearless".

There is often something pertinently "dark" about Sun in 8th house.Or it can seem like they go out searching for "dark" matters etc. and if the native also has Pluto there, they may come across to others as "shady".

Julian Assange interestingly enough has Sun in 8th with Moon/Neptune and Jupiter in 12th.

The Moon is in Scorpio and so he is geared towards uncovering secrets and exposing lies-even sometimes to the point of paranoia.

I personally think the Sun is not good in the 8th. The Sun is too "loud" and not discreet enough in the 8th to uncover the interconnected nature of things. That calls for more intuitive "knowing" that the Moon can provide.

Julian is assisted by Moon in 12th in his case. As well as Jupiter/Neptune being very productive in the 12th conj his Asc-its no wonder he appears very guarded for an Asc in Sag(ruler of Asc (Jupiter) in the 12th)

I think of the Sun in 8th as the type to expose the Drug traffickers. But the Moon in 8th goes deeper and exposes the Drug Lords.
