what does cleaning do for you
how do you feel when your home is nice and organized

for me virgo rules my fourth house and mercury is in my 12th house

when i clean i can def see mercury in 12th houe being activated...i start sensing spirits in the house, i just become heightened spiritually....

however i don't understnad how it affects my fourth house..my mom was a neat freak but other than that i don't see it..

what other things would you look at when looking at cleaning ...would 6th house be something to consider...mine is ruled by pluto..

from what I understand, cleaning (hygiene) is a generally spiritual act to begin with. Virgo is my IC and I’ve a Pisces Mercury so what you’re describing resonates a bit. whenever there are visitors and energy is lingering after people have left I’ll vacuum and/or open windows

as for Mercury in my 10th, not sure if it’s a 4th House relationship but I’d like to work from home, which usually means having an additional office/workstudio space, so in your case maybe a means of self-discovery (4th House) is through highly-monotonous meditative tasks

Pluto in the 6th house, from my understanding, wants to fix things, systematically.

I'm obsessed (in a good way) with hygiene, so I am cleaning every day and every time if it's unclean etc.

I have Virgo MC, mercury is in my 3rd house. 6th house ruled Venus. It doesn't mean I am a neat freak, my skin and my nose are just VERY sensitive, so cleaning is very important for me. And since I have a baby, I almost feel I have OCD lol. But, no.

It's the opposite for my Gemini sun husband. He doesn't care about cleaning and super untidy. That's one reason of many, I almost can't stand living with him because he can't be told to (Cap moon stubbornness) at least put laundry in the laundry bag, why everything should be on the floor? In the beginning we lived together I felt angry everyday but then I saw his whole family... It's the same, disaster, they don't care about hygiene or cleaning and super untidy. Whenever guests are coming to their home, they just hide the dirty not clean it. So now I understand where's he came from.

It's a habit and I think it can be associated to the root too. My Parents is concerned with hygiene/cleaning A LOT, I grew up with everyday do cleaning. Not sure where's Virgo in my Mom's natal chart (Aqua sun), but my Dad (Leo sun) has Virgo Mercury. Home I grew up in is always clean and always tidy. My Mom is the one who is a little bit a neat freak and year to year there will always some changes to home decoration with a better taste.

It's the opposite with the parents of my Gemini husband. They don't care about hygiene and their home is the opposite of the home of my parents. They even rarely take a bath, omg, I just found out my husband too! (he often lies he takes a bath in the bathroom while the fact is he just makes the sound of water to make me think he takes a bath). His Father (Aries sun) doesn't have Virgo in natal (but I don't know his Asc) but his Mom (Scorpio sun) has Virgo mars who I heard the other day one of his siblings made fun of her that their Mom rarely took a bath. And they all were laughing like they all were the same. OMG.

If I am working, I don't even want to make my hands dirty with foods. I'm not a type to working while eating. I eat when I eat, I work when I'm working, so my desk and computer is always clean. I feel icky if someone uses my computer while she/he holds foods in their hands and quickly clean it before I use it. Am I getting an OCD? lol.

My boyfriend has a Virgo stellulum. Asc, Mercury, Venus, Mars.

Before I moved in with him his apartment was immaculate. He hadn’t been living there long so that helps.
I have 0 Virgo planets in my chart but my moon and Pluto is in the 6th house. Once I’ve done a certain chores, it’s like he assumed that he doesn’t have to do it and it’s my role. Since I moved in with him he hasn’t cleaned the bathtub, and he just waits for me to do it, no matter how busy I am, and no matter how gross the bathtub is.
He would rather sit in filth and clutter and wait 3 years for me to have time to do it, while he sits on the couch the entire day looking at his phone.
My cleaning habits are a reflection of how much free time and help I have.
When I first moved in I got a job with consistent 40 hours. I would clean and organize his things because I had time, and I like surprising him.
The next year my job gave me overtime I never wanted or asked for. That’s when he wanted to bring attention to what I wasn’t doing in the apartment anymore. No matter how much I retaliated at his comments......it wasn’t until I was stating my plans for job hunting and I told him calmly “I’m not going for jobs that are over 40 hours because you did not appreciate me doing that for us.” That’s when I saw a change in him. He stopped complaining if he cleaned up after me, and stopped making frequent comments. And if he ever does slip up with a comment he immediately regrets it.

Though he is better at understanding that he can’t have the same expectations around the apartment when my life was way more simple. He got a new job recently that requires travel for long periods of time. He has the mentality of “this is my vacation” when he is home. I get that that, but come the FLIP on. You stay at a hotel where you have HOUSE KEEPING when on the job!!! When he was home around Christmas he barely did a flippping thing. I get that he hasn’t just sat his butt on the couch in 2 months. But yeah since he stopped going to college he can stare at his phone and watch TV on his hotel bed after work.
Guess what this is my vacation from work and college. Do you think I want to do everything!? I can’t keep quiet. Lucky for him he was sick on Christmas, so he was kind of off the hook. But after he felt better I told him to make me some coffee and do the dishes. That’s really all he did. There is no way this is going to fly the next time he is home.
Sorry I turned this into a vent sesh.

Virgo heavy here. I love having a clean space, and it really helps clear my mind and focus. I feel more stress and much more distractedness when things are not clean. If I am cooking, I need to have clear space to work.

I have Mercury in 9th and I can't study or work without having a clean house. It's in Leo so I make a lot of noise about it too! Hahaha!

I like clean, but clutter and tidiness is more my concern. And I complain about how messy my house is but friends always tell me my messy is their clean.

I have a daughter who is Virgo ASC with 6th house Mars, and she is a walking disaster of messiness. Other daughter is Virgo Sun and she is clean and tidy and loves to organize things.

Great thread, ithinkimightbewrong. Reading the posts makes me laugh.

My father was a Virgo sun. He spent most of his spare time in his basement shop. From very early on, his son was there with him. It wasn't long before I got my own workbench and tools.

Dad was orderly but not an obsessive, clean-it freak. At some point in time he must have grown concerned about my habits because he painted a large sign on the basement wall that read, KEEP KORNERS KLEAN.

I suspect that sign had a lasting influence. As an older bachelor I cannot live amidst dirt and clutter. Nothing sets me up better for moving ahead with unfinished business than to take time out from my active life, put things away, get organized and clean. If I don't follow this agenda periodically, everything can go to hell in the proverbial handbag.

I relate very strongly to what StoneMoon has written. Her (or his?) explanations fit me precisely.

The only placement in my chart that might suggest discomfort with clutter and dirt is Virgo in Neptune in the sixth. My Mercury is in Scorpio, eighth house.

In thinking about this, I realize I could be a freak in my own right because many Libras are not especially tidy. The Librras I know who are tidy have a Virgo Venus.

You gals with sloppy boy friends and husbands should get busy with the triple-K signage.
