Looking at some emphemeris tables it seems that the first direct transit of the IC was uneventful for me, the retrograde was the traumatic period, and the following direct transit was when things had settled down again. There was one more retrograde in the following year that just barely touched on the IC, but I can't remember it having any noticeable effect that time around. IP: Logged |

It was a traumatic time, and probably the only time I've ever felt a dramatic effect from any transit. I won't go into details but it was definitely a time of endings, a final loss of innocence, but also of beginnings... gaining independence and maturity. It's ever so long ago now though.
You dont need to go into details but thanks for sharing what you feel comfortable sharing with us. If you did feel an impact from when it was conjuncting your IC haven't you felt you have been doing a lot of reflecting related to that time of your life? I feel pluto transits also are about gaining insight. I feel a big part of Pluto transits and the things that happen during those transits is to facilitate you gaining insight, self-awareness and personal growth. I also have noticed that when pluto is in the middle of the house it can feel like nothing is going on in a sense except for a lot of reflecting but then towards the end, all that reflecting comes to live and leads to transformation. As a rule I don't reflect much on what's happened in the past. There was a choice that had to be made, and there was a temporary loss of an important relationship. But after that normal life resumed and things resettled into slightly changed but still recognizable patterns. It did bring to light what I find most important in life, and teach some lessons about how to make hard choices... but that's about it really. It was difficult while it was happening and it has left some permanent changes in my life, but overall it's not something I think about these days. And it's not something that has left lingering scars or really changed anything about me as a person. IP: Logged |

I dont think the intention of pluto is to leave lingering scars, that is not the goal, the goal is transformation and self-mastery but maybe you are enlightened and don't need to do much work on yourself and are here to help everyone else only so pluto transits don't impact you much, just minimally. As for me each transit through the house has definitely impacted me and led to a lot of change and growth.

I think that every lesson learned and transformation completed is a scar in a way, in that it's a permanent change to your person. Some are minor, some are major. Generally it's been very minor for me. Many outer planet transits have passed without any impact at all, and I remain fundamentally unchanged. IP: Logged |

Is your strongest element FIXED according to the Pullen report on astro.com? My strongest element is mutable so maybe that also plays into it... Thank you. I'm very balanced both with elements and modalities. A slight dominance of cardinal and water. IP: Logged |

It’s in my 3rd, like 4 degrees away from my I.C. opposite my Venus too lol. Lots of reflecting, especially on how my insecurities have affected my relationships my whole life. A time to really heal these aspects in order to have healthy relationships with others. Bringing up issues of control etc. I hope this is the extent to what will happen. Saturn or Pluto on angles freaks me TF out!IP: Logged |

Clearly Saturn and Pluto are not done indicating my Expanded self putting me through the wringer. T. Saturn and Pluto in the 6th and still squaring N. Libra Pluto in the 3rd. A group of us temps, just found out today that we got laid off because of lack of work (from feast to famine in a short period too--a little while ago I was working a lot of overtime). But I intuitively suspect and hope that it's a case of when one door closes, another one opens. And which might be revealed or develop as T. Cap Jupiter starts to get closer to the 6th House cusp, and might come to full fruition as it starts to trine Virgo Saturn (ruler of the 6th) in the 2nd. IP: Logged |

I bet it will lead to a new a door opening, I am with you on that hunch! It will work out and be a blessing in disguise. I bet a better door will open

Interesting! I will check it out. But thought I should add while Pluto has been in my 12th for quite some time now I, too, also got into astrology and esoteric studies... pretty cool

Wait...is Pluto trending on here? Sat transiting Cap coincided with when I started studying for my degree.Saturn conj Mc is when I finished. Pluto transiting Cap coincided with when I finished my last degree. Pluto conj Mc is when I finished with the 2nd qualification. In whole sign, both are in the 10th. In placidus, both just started in the 10th when touching the Mc this year 2020. I am expecting career expansion with Pluto here. And even as it moves to Aquarius, it can suggest powerful allies in friends or larger society I guess. It seems to me that Placidus earmarks milestones more specifically than whole sign system. Both are valid though IP: Logged |

For some reason I checked my brother's chart and looks like this Pluto/Saturn is also his Saturn return, rather exactly. Well, he was writing just the other day about how amazing his life is and how in love he is with his girlfriend, so I guess he is doing well. The transit is taking place towards the end of his first house. Then I thought to check the transits around a significant event in both our childhoods, one that likely shaped us quite a lot. Found that Chiron was conjunct Pluto in the heavens at that particular point. On my brother's Ascendant and square my Moon. Maybe we did enough Pluto work at that point that Pluto doesn't bother us too much anymore? Idk if that's possible, but it's a thought... Anyone else remember the Pluto/Chiron conjunction of 2000? Exact on Dec 30th 1999, and then touching again by retrograde in the summer of 2000. The summer was when the heavy stuff occurred for us. IP: Logged |

oh boy, i kept thinking like this because I had a Pluto conjuction ASC and opposing Moon several years before my Saturn Return and then my Saturn Return was a crash accident, couldnt walk for months after a long and tiring surgery. So, I think we can always get surprised, even the most "wise" ones. IP: Logged |

12H here. I feel very heavy at the moment and I'm doing a lot of inward looking. As Saturn went over my 12H cusp, I left a job after 7 and a half years, and plunged into a huge depression. Intriguingly, this has started a new faith journey for me - it's challenging because my status as a single mum who's never been married is a direct affront to the teachings of the church, so I'm having to look inside to reconcile my feelings about my past choices. Am I lovable and forgivable? At the same time I'm looking at using my astrology skills and potentially putting the things I've learned over decades into a format that less experienced people can use. If it works, it could even bring in some money. It's a challenging time. Saturn is certainly cooking up an interesting new identity for me at the moment! IP: Logged |

Graham, I feel like this is what I'm experiencing right now. It's definitely a lesson, and an enriching one! Gotta start somewhere, right? Thanks for sharing. This transit is definitely teaching me to be more patient with my learning process and forgive myself and let go of past mistakes. After all, we are here to experience and it feels like Saturn-Pluto are the tough but caring elders guiding us through our individual processes. IP: Logged |
