Does it really lead to failed marriages before the age of 30? Any experiences?

You'll get responses from people with this placement, I'm sure. But don't confuse statistical occurrence (likelihood) with cause-and-effect.

The way I frame this is that Saturn's house placement shows the focus of lessons that require patience, development of real strength through persistence (in 7th through compromise) and bending of the ego. Saturn when weaker than other planets and/or stressed by aspects with other planets shows the focus of important life lessons, particularly karmic ones by its placement. 7th house puts that focus in relationships or partnerships. So there will be hurdles.

Ehm,this sounds like a frightful question. And perhaps my answer may be a little "left field"? But nonetheless, here goes...

I have this placement. It's in Scorpio in the 7th house. But since I also have a heavy Western emphasis(planets in house 6,7,8,9) in my chart. There's more of a tendency to work & corporate with others etc.

On the whole & as i get older,I don't believe in the term 'unsuccessful relationships'.As EVERY relation teaches you something about yourself. And this is the "success".Even a so-called "failed" marriage.

So Saturn in 7th predisposes me to want to be in love relationships(as they offer a more visceral mental-sexual experience).

Its because they are a structured way(Sat) through which I can evaluate myself. This is what is important for my soul growth. This especially since Pluto is also in my 7th.

It's not that I "need" all their relations to be "perfect".But I am grateful for the relations that bring more clarity on who I really am. And oftentimes(ironically) those are mostly the "unsuccessful" ones.

How about in Pisces squaring the Sun? My guess is that it'll make marriage to burdensome, with too much of an emphasis on responsibility. This might actually push your spouse away.

Yes, but does it cause divorce before the age of 30, like Vedic astrologers say? I am asking for anecdotal and statistical evidence for this.

As a hard and fast rule, my intuition tells me unlikely. But that is not based on statistics.

The truth of the matter is, Vedic astrologers tend to be more fatalistic and literal in interpretation. It also tends to be more materialistic in focus and orientation. These are some of the reasons why I never got too much into it.

This is a very long way of saying that just because a bunch of Vedic astrologers make a claim about Saturn in the 7th always leading to divorce before 30 (presuming that they actually say this, I don't know, just temporarily taking your word), doesn't mean there is objective truth to it.

It's good that you're not taking their word on it and trying to do your own research.

Well, I have a cousin who has Saturn conjunct Dsc and she got married at 25. Still married? Yes. Happy? I can't say. She is now 41.

I don't think its the "cause" per se. But if you marry and are immature, the likelihood of a divorce with Saturn in 7th house may be even more probable-regardless of age.

Saturn in 7th can contribute in the marriage being particularly testy i.e the wife/husband lacks affection for you or the relationship feels like a burden etc.

I agree with others when they say Vedic astrology can be too fatalistic. The interpretations can border on the extremes really.

I however can attest that Saturn-Venus, Saturn in Libra, Saturn in 7th,Cap in 7th, Venus in Cap etc. People that I come into contact MOSTLY got married at ages 28 through to 35.

Most of them were "older" when they decided to tie the knot and also had kids when older.

I have no real-life reference of this placement apart from myself and I am not married yet (at 28), but I have almost never been single since 16, and I do have a strong desire for marriage and partnership.

But looking at famous people who have this placement, it does appear that the majority who got married before 30 also got a divorce.

Marriage is a lot different from dating and romance. I have seen people who have been single most their life, but they have very successful marriages.

All saturn in 7th means is that there will be constraints in matters of the 7th house. Do I have examples of someone who got divorced with this placement before they were 30. Yes I do, my oldest friend divorced her husband at 27 after marrying him far too early when she fell pregnant with twins.. but she also remarried him before she turned 30. I'm sure there are plenty of people with this placement who are still happily married or people like me with saturn ruling their 7th house which is similar to saturn in 7th house who have never married or have just been in few relationships (despite plenty of offers). These cookie cutter fatalistic one line description are so so problematic..

I wouldn't worry about divorces, on the contrary, this is definately one of the placements that shows longlasting relationships, probably way more lasting than they should be to begin with.. because the native will try really hard to make the relationship work even if it's not worth it.

What would worry me instead would be a loveless relationship (like Saturn-Venus hard aspects), epecially if the Moon is in water signs or in hard aspect to Pluto.
