In May I will have a nodal transit on my natal Asc/Dsc at 29 degrees Sagittarius.

Now for how this will manifest itself, do we take into consideration which houses our natal nodes are in? And do we also take into account what aspects are being made to our nodes natally?

My natal node is @ 28 Virgo, which squares my Asc, so the nodal transit in may will also square this node. I have a 7th house natal Jupiter trine SN/sextile NN.

So as I only have planet Jupiter (which is exalted in my chart) in good aspects with the natal nodes, shall I gather this to be a positive nodal transit?

Neither. And you'll never understand astrology by putting things in the good or bad categories.

You've used a great example for this, too. The Lunar Nodes are paired, they come together. So if you identify one end as potentially beneficial then you're caught by the other as potentially harmful if that is the way you are assessing them.

Instead, it is better to understand the Lunar Nodes in a qualitative fashion. They do offer up windows of opportunity (usually when combined with other transits) that allow for changes in self-expression and/or relationships when aligned with Asc/DC, and changes in work/home when aligned with MC/IC. Often, the transit will pass with little or nothing noteworthy happening outwardly. That can be because your Asc/MC is not accurate enough to time the transit, but this also happens frequently anyway. Other planetary transits may be needed to reinforce the window of opportunity.

I didn't mean as in the NN being good and the SN being bad. And I understand there must be assisting configurations to produce an actual event. Hmm, actually after writing that I think I may have answered my own question, it would be the assisting transits at the same time as the nodal transit that would show if the nodal transit is to be positive or negative.

My original thought was that if your nodes had good aspects natally, then any nodal transit to points in your chart would be beneficial for you. Maybe this has a say too?

Regarding the nodes transiting my Asc/Dc, I do have other configurations going on too at the same time. Pr moon will be in a T square with my 5th house natal moon Square Saturn. Being very specific on the 22nd of May the Newmoon will conjunct my natal moon, with the nodes on the angles and Pr moon opposing natal moon.

So it looks like a 5th house moon theme going on here, but I'm still a little confused as if this will be positive or negative. My natal moon does square my sun/Saturn, maybe this puts a dampener on things.

Might it be connected to your son's 2nd house retrograde Pluto (at 28Sag46mins) ... and your 5th/11th cusp* (in Taurus/Scorpio)?

[ * Your post at http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/230915.html indicates that progressed moon is a timer of events relating to this axis. ... So, why is it opposing/highlighting natal moon on 22nd May?]

Your right my Sons pluto sits on my Ascendant, I didn't even think it could be anything to do with my Son, I hope and pray its nothing bad.

I mentioned the 22nd May to narrow down when something may happen in regards to the nodes being on my angles. On the 22nd there will be a New moon at the same time the nodes being on my Asc/Dc and my Progressed moon also on this date will be 1 min of arc separating from my natal moon by opposition. I was thinking that maybe the NM is the trigger of these configurations.

The nodes will be triggering my Sons pluto moon square.
