for profound writing? Tr. Chiron to Mercury

career boosting transits have little to do with the quality of work, just business

Anyone have thoughts on what an aspiring author would look for, in terms of a successful transit ? Might Uranus+Mercury+Sun in the 5th be a positive jump start? Anyone have some good transits one might look to for this? Thank you.

Those seem like a really good beginning.

Have you ever read books by author Julia Cameron? {The Artist's Way, among other titles}. She recommends writing exercises. These teach you awareness of the way you stream ideas, their flow.

Besides Mercury, I would include that you observe the effects of transits to your natal Moon. Transiting moons in general have various moods.

For broad example--
Water moons could be more sensitive, and flowing with 'emotion'-- depth, passion?
Earth moons might have a more balanced and practical tidy energy?
Air moons, lighter materials? data-oriented times?
Fire moons, flow with more flamboyancy?
.. See what I mean?

The moons are "moods".

The planets (natal and transit) are in their own moods too, as they make aspects to each other, and/or energizing your own chart.

Also-- The theme or type of book you want to write would be represented by a certain energy frame.

So I guess what I'm saying is to observe how your writing Muse works.

Pay attention when she nudges you with her downloads.

Example. If book material for Chapter 6 wakes you up at 2:00 am?, it might save you time (in the long run) for your inner-scribe to agree to get up, and receive (type out) the material. If you can sacrifice the sleep, the Quality in that manuscript work could well-reward you.
If you've been working at Chapter 2, and Chapter 6 wants to come through-- let it! Might be a Time-saver, in the long-run!!

Flow makes pleasure out of writing,
rather than a sticky, choppy, grueling chore.

You haven't mentioned the kind of book you are writing.

Writing a research textbook requires a different flow than a romance novel.

Depending on what you're working on,
check Neptune aspects too.

Vansio.. yeah, Chiron transits.
Sometimes I call those "cry-on" transits!! *tears*

Mercury to Pluto
Mercury to Neptune
And the Moon.
Some Venus signs too?

Diane Keaton Crying - 'Typical Writer'!! haha!
(Scene from movie Something's Gotta Give)
[1:16] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hr4EcIrPcqs

Publishing? .. transits (guessing)
reverse order--
Finale--
9th House, MC, and 10th House would see your work in front of the public.
towards 11th house you're giving interviews socially touring with your book

8th house would have been for financing
7th house for working any contracts out with agents, lawyers

1st house for emphasis on you, your personality, charm

Jupiter moving in an upward direction, towards your MC, when ready to release or present your work?

Writing takes Time.

{those were guesses-- maybe others have ideas}

In answer to your question of transits,
looks like your "opportunity" is looming.

Interesting @MoonMystic, I've gained interest in writing lately too. (it's one thing I took action towards which is unlikely of me, compared to the other things I've had interest in)

However the Sun/Uranus conjunct is transiting my 11th house. Squaring my 3rd/9th house Jupiter/Saturn opposition, respectively.

Do you have any natal planets in your fifth house? Where's its' ruler? Are your planets making any aspects to this conjunction? Maybe post your chart?

I think 12th house stuff play into this well too.

Are you comfortable sharing your chart?

A guy told me that I should be a writer, but I'm not sure of transits at the time. I think it's also different for me, talking to certain people versus trying to write something in general. I have Chiron conjunct my Mercury (plus Ceres and my Sun), Moon/Venus in Gemini square Mars in Pisces. Moon/Venus sextile Jupiter, and trine Pluto. Mercury trine MC. Jupiter/Neptune also trine MC. I was always more comfortable with drawing/painting/photography - but I remember a teacher liking a story I wrote as a kid. She read it to the class, and embarrassed me (unintentionally).

It's a shame astrodienst no longer has the discussion parts of charts open. This is the kind of thing you would have found under the charts of people like Stephen King.

Astrodienst has a forum (like Lindaland). Some LL people also write posts there, duplicating what they do 'here' at LL.

They DO discuss charts.
Just, start a thread on a chart or a topic. Post link and copy of chart in the way appropriate for them.

Their last 'english' forum TOPIC is dedicated to discussing data in their chart banks. You can challenge accuracy of materials, or even offer data for a new chart for them to create in the Collection.

*~
Sometimes with writing, it's not AS important to be 'perfect' in your mechanics, as much as capturing and attempting to put into words the Ideas, Imaginations, Descriptions that YOU, in your special uniqueness, are a witness to in Life.

Mechanics can always get 'fixed' by a good copy editor later.

The MAIN importance, is that you pour whatever essences you 'contain' and encompass, and to attempt to pour it out ON the pages as they stream through you.

Wait a day or two, or week or two, and look at it again.

Always save a copy of your drafts, and stash them away, preserved. Too much editing can 'change' the original Voice. (I know that with me, I can edit things sooooo much, toooo much, that it becomes a whole other creation.)

Journals are a great way to stream your thoughts. Great for self-therapy. Documenting your life. Chronology.

Later on, you can extract paragraphs from the things you've written, and create an ensemble of writings around the body of an idea.

I saw some of the things you wrote for the other blog/forum you add to, Teasel. (I think it had to do with scary stories?.. sorry. forgot). I was impressed with how you expressed yourself. It was good.

So-- Go For It!!!! *laughing* *heart*

Have an Inspirational and Productive Day.

[.Nothing is deleted + I am, after all, pushing this for Teasel and Mirage to see it.]

 @Teasel,  I'm sorry I haven't an img storeage host site, I trust.
My other accounts I've not been able to get into. As well my bb skills aren't as good as others. I can't insert anything outside of links. Tell me which parts, aspects of my chart you're curious about Teasel, I'd be happy to share with you!

It seems you likely have abilities in writing, before I read the Chiron/Mercury aspect, seeing your Jupiter/MC and Neptune, it looks like magic. With your other artistic qualities , interests you probably are a natural.

My MC isn't in such a good company with exception of an afflicted Uranus.

I read your other comment on Hypatia's Moon thread. Just didn't want to take the thread off topic. I'm the same way - but noone at home wants me to cook.  Fire alarms are cooking timers. lol

.
@Mirage, I'm sorry it comes accross as you said. One of my weaker traits, I have insecurities and feel kinda silly after much of what I say on the threads/posts.
It's not anyone else, only my issue.

Thank you for all the support, guidance and kindness. It is * always appreciated. ⚘

@MoonMystic

❤️

Not gonna come here to say you shouldn't feel what you're feeling... But the truth of the matter is, people are too self absorbed to care. They give more worth to the way they're feeling and communicating vs the care they give to the way you come across. (like making sure I'm phrasing this correctly so it should come across intelligible instead of a whole bunch of jabber)

Perhaps do start a blog, gain your confidence on there. You have a very concise language and you shouldn't doubt yourself. People are interested in a writer cuz of the way they view the world, as Mirage pointed out. And so long as you infuse your quirkiness within your writings then you're good. (Editors are there for reason, to take care of the stuff you're concerned about. In other words, the mistakes precede it regardless. Editors are needed before the writer even conceptualized an idea. So, don't worry as to how you come across. Really.)

MM, you come across just fine. But I know what you mean, I delete posts, too, although not as much as I used to.

Mirage, I meant that they used to have discussions in the chart sections - away from the forum. Maybe the forum is the reason they closed comments on the charts. I'm a member over there, but I can't remember my username. I posted there between 2014 and 2016.
If you look here: http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Talk:King,_Stephen - this is where the chart would be posted, along with a few questions, from what I remember - then people would respond in the comments. It's good to see you, by the way.

Feel free to search through my posts on here. I’ve mentioned in several I’m a successful YA author. I’ve added info on transits, and I’ve posted my chart a few times. Uranus is definitely a factor.

To whomever said Chiron+mercury, I respectfully disagree. This was one of the worst writing and life transits I’ve ever experienced and I’m thankful it’s over.

Hi MoonMystic

LEO on the 9th House Cusp?.. is a great placement, especially when it comes to selling. That's the 'foreign, overseas' house too. 9th House is the Publishing House.

LEO, ruled by the Sun, would help you 'shine'-- stand out. The spot-light is on YOU!

The 'natural' house for Leo is the 5th House.
Creativity!
