I think this should be an interesting thing for people to explore and look back on...

I have noticed that when the Transit nodes fall on your skipped step which means it is also squaring your natal nodes that it coincides with something really significant in your life.

My DC ruler is Mercury and my Moon rules my 8H.

I have Mercury opposite Moon squaring my nodes so both my mercury and my moon are my skipped step.

Example 1:
When I met my husband Tr southnode was conjuncting my mercury and tr Northnode was conjuncting my Moon. Skipped step karmic relationship.

Example 2:
Transit nodes fell on my mercury opposite Moon skipped step, Tr southnode was exact on my moon when I moved out of my parents to move back to Colorado. Moving back to Colorado was a big deal bc we had to leave the first time bc of a crisis in a rush and coming back was a way of us doing a do-over, very fitting with a skip step theme.

When SN conjunct my skipped step 10H Mercury, I’d already moved to EU six months before but I guess around this time I finessed my way into leasing a city center live-work loft I had for the next couple of years. Mercury rules my 4th House. My relationship to Germany is already very karmic, in astrocartograohy, this is where the NN exactly conjuncts my IC. Asteroid for Germany conjuncts my Venus, ruler of my 5/12H (where the tr. SN has been the year before leading up to this move abroad) natal Gemini-SN in 12

fun times

Thanks for sharing Vansio!

If you catch any more of these transits on your skipped step come back and share! This is fascinating to me, I just caught these two recently and both are pretty significant dates in my life.

Interesting the first time we moved to Colorado Transit Northnode was trine My Mercury and sextile my Moon so the transit nodes did activate my Skip Step the first time we moved here but with a trine/sextile, Tr Northnode trined Mercury the ruler of my Northnode and also my skipped step. Tr northnode inconjuncted exact my natal northnode that day too.

The transit nodes were also falling on our composite nodes the first time we moved to Colorado. Tr Nothnode was conjuncting exact our composite Southnode.

So when we met tr nodes fell on my mercury which rule my DC, rules my northnode and is my skipped step and it falls in the 9th! Then when we moved to Colorado the day the transit nodes fell exact on our composite nodes while it activated my natal mercury and northnode simultaneously.

Meaning that this moved fulfilled the reason why we met. I wanted to marry someone who was willing to expand my world and move across the country with me, take risks and go on a big adventure. Is the reason why I ended things with my ex even though I was so in love with him bc he was not willing to step out of Miami and experience the world with me and take big changes and move somewhere different far away and that is part of my skipped step to do that with someone I am committed with, my destiny would have not been fulfilled with my ex even though I would have enjoyed a great sex life.

^^I knew this cognitively but to see it play out so clearly astrologically is interesting.

When I graduated with my master's degree transit Northnode was Trine my Northnode while transit Southnode was right on my PHOLUS (Turning point).

The Transit Nodes were semi-sextile my skipped step mercury in the 9th opposite Moon. This means Tr Southnode was inconjunct my Skipped step Mercury and Tr Northnode was inconjunct my Skipped step Moon!

So the transit nodes were forming a cross via inconjunction with my Skipped step Mercury opposite Moon.

Nodal Returns
Approximate Ages: around 18 1/2, 37, 56, 74 1/2

Nodal returns are turning points. A few things (or many) during this time can fall into place, seeming to support you along your path. You will decide what from your past you’re willing to carry forward and what do you need to leave behind to fulfill your destiny and integrate your north node more.

Nodal Squares
Approximate Ages: 4 1/2, 14, 23, 32 1/2. 42, 51, 60 1/2, 70, 79

You might feel circumstance nudging you toward a need to compromise in how, why, and when you do certain things. You might find yourself on any and every timeline but the one that works for you. Circumstances out of your control force you to compromise.

It’s a time of adjusting to new surroundings or a new reality, and most of us tend to wallow in resistance to change.

These transits are for learning more about your assumptions about what the world is and should be like through seeing in real time that you only have part of the picture. If you open your mind to making new connections and seeing the world through a different perspective, you will learn more about the world around you as it actually is while moving away from a conditioned fantasy about what the world should be like.

Reverse Nodal Returns
Approximate Ages: a bit over 9, 28, 46 1/2, 65, 83 1/2

These are times when you see your habits, preferences, and assumptions about life and the world confronted. Is like if you were seeing something blurry because you were conditioned to see it like that and then you put on some glasses and can see it now with clarity. You get this feeling like you were lied to this whole time by society about this thing and now you know. Like a 9 year old that just found out Santa Claus does not exist. Or a woman realizing at 28 right before she gets married that the only reason she has been wanting to get married her whole life is because society conditioned her to think she needs to get married to be happy. Or a 46 year who was conditioned to believe that you should never get divorced finally wakes up from that spell, realizes it is a lie and sets herself or himself free from an awful marriage. In a sense is like waking up from a mind fu*k that results in you feeling your are seeing reality now for how it truly is and not the fairy tale version, this can painful when it happens at 9 but empowering when it happens at 28 or older.

With the reverse return it might be more that you’re finding there’s no place in your modern life for your old preferences and beliefs. As you’re a human, you’re going to rely on your habits, preferences, and assumptions about life, but you’re now finding that, at least in some things, you’ve been wrong all along.

Things are coming up now (the transiting SN) that call for you to stretch into new territory (your natal NN). This can be a repeated type of scenario you’ve been trying to avoid lately but just won’t stop, or perhaps people or situations keep bringing up something you would normally opt not to respond to or engage with.

This is a time for leaving behind what you might be good at but no longer works or fulfills you and for being open to new challenges you’d usually try to edit out of your view and not go for.
