Topic: Who wins? Merc/8th or Merc Conj Pluto?

I'm a Mercury in the 8th, my father is a Mercury Conjunct Pluto. Neither are relatively important to the situation at hand, but figured that I'd just throw that in the mix just for Mercury's sake. Ok, so here's the situation.There has been a local robbery. No trace detected what so ever. At a local gas station. Some Skittles were stolen. We know it's a male and what he was wearing, as well as the time. That's it though. Not sure how he escaped, but we do know that he was wearing a mask though. He was in all black clothing too. We have no idea which direction he took once he left the gas station, or his method of transportation. Now, given that the current make believe story is quite hilarious, which one of these 2 placements would hypothetically be better equipped to handle this case? As far as "potentially" figuring out who the culprit is? Why is this? Who and why? Please be sure to use details too. Thanks and have fun. haha..... Or perhaps someone could maybe explain which placement has more of an investigative mind? Or perhaps list the differences so that the scope can be ultimately be revealed? Thanks again... IP: Logged |

I'm not talking about the signs that they're in, I'm just talking about those 2 placements in general if that makes sense. Like if you took the essence of Mercury in the 8th versus the essence of Mercury Conjunct Pluto. Does this make sense? I don't want to mix a bunch of different sign combinations together since that would just make this too confusing to try to pinpoint. Although I will say that I'm a Mercury in Gemini in the 8th and I'm a Scorpionic Cancer Gemini. I have Scorpio Uranus 3H trine Cancer Mercury 11H. That Mercury is also square 2H Pluto. I'll have the answer sooner or later but not thanks to Pluto! It's all Uranus for me. Answers, epiphanies and flashes come suddenly when I least expect them, usually when I shower. It's taken me YEARS to learn to grab on to those flashes when they first appear in my mind. I AM investigative, oh yes, but with age I've come to the conclusion it's much more fun to just silently wait for everything to unfold. It always does..sooner or later..and I'm all good with "later"..I'll twiddle-twaddle my thumbs meanwhile  IP: Logged |

(Oh, and just for the record, I'd never talk to anyone like this in "real life").And anon... you don't sound like you know what you're talking about too much. Sounds very subjective to me. No offense or anything either. Thanks for your input though. Any experts? Or is this all just inherent knowledge through experiences? I really wish people would stop beating around the bush though. When I ask a question, I expect a straight answer. Even if this was all in fun. Again, no offense or anything.... (this is the internet, we can get away with talking like this) (Shhh…. just don't tell anyone though..). Please don't ruin or sabotage my fun either, I have to have some form of escape from life. I have too many planets aspecting Neptune and Jupiter for crying out loud as well as too many squares. No one understands me worth a flying M&m's candy bar. Mercury in a house is only a small part of how mercury is working. It's an area of life and not really adding to how it works but where. Aspects and signs will have a much bigger affect on the planet.If Merc were in scorpio, then I'd say you may stand a chance against Merc conjunct Pluto. But if it's in an earth sign, even if in the 8H, Pluto aspect wins.
I have Merc in Aries 12H opposite Pluto and I'm probably the last person you'd want to argue with. Aries offers incredibly quick wit and Pluto digs deep, especially with the opposition and the conjunction I can only imagine is stronger. My moon is exactly conjunct Pluto and I know all too well how Pluto affects that. IP: Logged |

Would you care to go into greater detail as to why a Mercury Conj. Pluto would be a better fit for the situation that I explained above versus a Mercury in the 8th house? I don't care what "sign" you use to power the house. Use whatever you think is the most effective if you have to. You've articulated the effectiveness of signs versus houses and then you denoted that you think Mercury Conj. Pluto is an overall better fit for the above investigation (I'm assuming), but you haven't really given any adequate details, facts, etc... to denote why that placement would be more effective. Like I said above, not really focused too much on the "signs," I'm more trying to dedicate a full attention towards Merc/8th and Merc conj Pluto. You can use what you think are the "best" signs in both if you want. Or use a bunch of different mixes. I'm interested in what people think and why. IP: Logged |
