the degree of the eclipse is ruled by mars as the first degrees of cancer are in the bounds/terms of mars. in turn, mars in piscis at 25 degrees is in the bounds of mars as well. additionally mars is making a trine (wide orb) to the eclipse. according to Deborah Houlding (above link of the article) "The Lord of the eclipse is that planet which has most dignities and relationships by aspect to the degree of the eclipse and the following angle (i.e., the MC if the eclipse falls in the 7th, 8th or 9th house, the Asc. if it falls in the 10th, 11th or 12th)" the following angle is the Ascendant, which is at 6.57 degrees of Leo in the bounds of Venus (according to the egyptian terms) and Bound of Mercury (according to ptolomean terms). so, the co-ruler of the eclipse is depending which sytem we use for the bounds/terms either Mercury or Venus

I assume that being mars in Piscis and the eclipse in cancer fire can be less of a concern.
Asumming that Venus is co-ruler of the eclipse, it may help to smooth relationships, but mercury is peregrine and retrogade, so no much help here either.
