This is the chart of a coworker of mine. She's a strong empath and I've been helping her learn to navigate her abilities through astrology, meditation, and natural healing. I've gone over a lot of her chart with her, especially her pisces moon conjunct Saturn. My question is, how does this conjuction differ when it straddles the ascendant? How would this manifest? Thank you ♡ http://imgur.com/a/3XarjX5 IP: Logged |

In "Rulers of the Chart", Alan Oken asserts that 1st house planets within 5 degrees (and 12th house planets within 3 degrees) of the Ascendant may be the ruler of the chart. Is that likely in this case, given that first house Saturn is within 5 degrees of the Ascendant? IP: Logged |

I'd agree based on what she's told me. She has the higher qualities of Saturn when looking at things like integrity, guilt, and a sense of maturity but, also the negative aspects of having it conjunct her moon. Shes very much a Saturn conjunct moon person, especially in Pisces. My son has this aspect and they are very similar in nature. The pisces moon is also very strong though when you first meet her. I picked up on it instantly and the pisces gives off an innocent vibe. IP: Logged |

So ... What you see first is Saturn, especially as it is on ascendant and ruling the chart ... But Saturn is drawing upon Neptune (as ruler of Capricorn) and Jupiter, perhaps producing an unusually grounded Neptune-Jupiter seer.Saturn, Jupiter and Sun are in a Learning Triangle though, maybe indicating a need to ensure that the self remains separated from the messenger. ... Particularly as Jupiter is strong in its own sign and house, and closely aspecting south node (past life influence?) IP: Logged |

The conjunction is simply more pronounced and her personality and weight of self-expression constantly reverts back to the qualities of Moon conjunct Saturn in Pisces: inhibition, guilt, boundaries, self-protection, etc.Keep in mind all these (Saturn, Asc, Moon) are square to Jupiter in Sagittarius with Asc taken as-is. So that brings in the expansion principle as a driving influence upon feeling/personal expression/responsibility. And Moon is opposite Mars. So there are external responses required. This is not a stay-at-home-and-be-at-peace Moon. There are ongoing challenges of what to do with various feelings and emotional responses, including intuition. It IS a Moon condition in which it is important she take responsibility for all her emotional/feelings gifts and responses as central to who she is and how she most operate in the world. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert birth chart rectification The birth chart is a starting place not a pre-determiner of fate.
