Curious about certain behavioral ticks/body language that you might've noticed in certain signs? Of course this is a gross generalisation since people are a complex combination of their signs/energies so no behavior can be assigned to just one sign...but in spite of that, I've noticed a few things, like Geminis really need to talk with their hands and Aries have a tendency to lean forward...And they tend to speak a bit faster, with a bit more force and conviction. Leos touch their hair a lot. Scorpios are very good with eye contact while Cancers often look away, as if remembering something from the past... What other little ticks have you noticed? Also, which sign do you think sticks their tongue out a lot (not totally out, but they kind of bite the tip of their tongue between their teeth? I've noticed this in a lot of Tau/Gems and was wondering if this is a thing? Sag, Gems also seem to wink more than the others? People who sit on their hands? Or like to wrap their hands around one thigh while sitting (the leg is semi-crossed over and they tuck their hands underneath??) Some people touch their thighs a lot too... The Gem/Vir/Sco in me notices all these little behaviors and I just find them fascinating... Haha, I need to apply to the CIA or something, lololol. IP: Logged |

Those are fascinating observations. Never looked at signs from that angle. It is definitely worth exploring. The question though is would tics be a factor of ascendancy or sun signs? IP: Logged |

From what I've gathered from myselfGemini Asc: Lots of hand gesticulation when explaining something. Cancer Moon: Often looking away into the distance when probed about memories. This happened all the time in therapy: the therapist ask a question and I stare at the wall/floor or out the window in order to 'fetch' the memory in question. It's a way to limit all sensory input so I don't become disturbed by external energy in the room while I'm looking internally. IP: Logged |

Is this based on Sun or ASC? As a Gemini ASC, I agree with Geminis talking with our hands. Also, Gem ASCs are very bad with focusing. You'll see us plastering a smile on our faces while you talk but we're actually not listening. I met another Gemini ASC guy who's the same. When I asked him a qn midway, he replied: "Sorry, what did you say?". Lol.IP: Logged |

I find these can apply to Sun/Moon/Asc or even Mercury/Mars...sometimes Venus but that can be a little less obvious. It's just so weird to me b/c I naturally pick up on some people's energies and body movements/speech patterns when interacting with them, and I'll say to myself "whoa, all that Aries energy!" and then later on find out that they have planets in Aries (so these behavioral ticks are not solely limited to Sun/Moon/Asc). Yes, the Gemini hand gesticulations are quite notorious and I do this too (Gemini Moon). I know several men who have no Gem Sun/Moon/Asc but have Gem Mercury or Mars and they also talk with their hands. The women seem to use their hands more anxiously though, like if they think they're not being clear, they'll start to gesticulate more and the movements would be smaller, quicker. While the men seem to use their hands as an extension of whatever point they're making and sometimes kind of like a judge's gavel, figuratively hammering home their opinion...So this is apparently very much a Gem thing! I do also tune out frequently during conversations if someone is talking too long and I find myself needing to inject a comment here or there not to be rude but just to keep myself focused on what they're saying. If we're not allowed to say something every few minutes, our minds will go elsewhere! 😂I'm actually on ADD medication for this, which I hate b/c I feel like it makes me a zombie but also can't function without! 😞 IP: Logged |

Leo Asc here. I twirl my hair like there’s no tomorrow Cancer Sun, Cap Moon sq Pluto. I will dead stare you in the eyes. If you look away while: talking to me, shaking my hand or kissing me, you’ll make me think you are hiding something or have somewhere else “more important” to be at which point I’ll lose interest. I'm a Leo Asc too and yes, the hair thing is real. I don't twirl my hair but I do touch it a lot (run my fingers through it, always trying to fix it, reposition it) and it is embarrassing. I keep a post-it on my computer screen, next to the camera, that says "Stop touching your hair!" for my Zoom meetings. 😂 quote: Cancer Sun, Cap Moon sq Pluto. I will dead stare you in the eyes. My good friend is also a Can Sun/Cap Moon but a Gem Asc, but he's actually very uncomfortable with eye contact. I don't know if he has any Pluto aspects though. And the Gem Asc doesn't help. Leos are generally pretty good with eye contact though but I find the Leo Suns are better at this than Asc...I think of Bill Clinton and Obama with their Leo suns and the way they look at people right in the eyes when speaking to them. I have Pluto sq. my Leo Asc but I have to work really hard to maintain eye contact...I wonder if it's b/c my Pluto is "weaker" b/c it's in Libra whereas those of the Sco Pluto generation have it made? But in general, I find Scorpios (or I suppose , Plutonic people) are excellent with eye contact to a point where it freaks me out.

I am one who rests a lot on my hand. Meditatively, kind of. When people take pics of me, I oftentimes end up with my head in my hands. My natural resting position is with my head in my hands, lol.One book that I read regarding body language said that the people that do this are contemplatives, thinkers-dreamers. Also, I dont understand people that look away in a conversation. When I talk, i look directly, very rarely looking elsewhere. I intimidated some of my past classmates because of this I'm a sagittarius sun conjunct pluto, capricorn ASC. IP: Logged |

I've just realized that I don't talk with my hands, as much as I used to. I guess I'm not as animated as I used to be. Aries/Gemini/Scorpio IP: Logged |

Aries Rising. I do tend to lean forward in conversation. I find it hard to sit way back in a chair whilst talking to someone. I interpret someone who does that to me as showing disinterest or "bored". I also slur words because I want to get them out quick. That could also be because of Mercury/Mars square though 🤔

Do you have Mercury-Uranus aspect as well? I've a friend who speaks very fast and tend to slur her words as well. She has Mercury conjunct Uranus square Mars. My niece also speaks very fast but she doesn't slur her words. She has Mercury opp Uranus. IP: Logged |

I do this, too, rest my head or chin in my hands. I used to be a big daydreamer. I’m a Scorpio ascendant, and when I was a teenager, I made a point to look people in the eye, trying to get over my shyness. When I did, they would look away. Leo MC, and I fiddle with my hair, when I’m thinking. Or I press my fingertips against my nails - I picked up that habit when I stopped biting them, but it isn’t much better. When I’m anxious, and I’m sitting up, I unconsciously rock back and forth. Mum pointed it out to me (and she did the same thing). IP: Logged |

I don't slur my words as such, but I do tend to speak rather fast and kind of trip over words. I'm always fumbling for elusive words that I've momentarily forgotten.Mercury conjunct and parallel Mars, both opposite Neptune. Mars contraparallel Uranus. IP: Logged |

I've noticed a lot of Sag. guys like to point to the other person in photos? Obviously, my reference pool is very tiny but the handful of heavily Sag guys I know (who don't know each other) seem to love to do this whenever taking photos with 1-2 other people...they'll point at the other person, directing the focus off of them... I just thought that was a weird coincidence. IP: Logged |

Sun in Taurus. Moon in Gemini. Ascendant in Scorpio. If you want to have an important conversation with me, do not speak to me with your voice, because chances are I'm going to forget the contents of said conversation and have to ask about it later. Communicate with me through writing instead so I can look over what we discussed later. In person, my arms are crossed a lot, my leg is often crossed over a thigh, and I have a limited range of facial expressions. If I'm nervous or anxious, I sometimes experience involuntary tic movements. Like, my mouth will twitch and I'll turn my head a lot, for example. This is mostly when my anxiety is turned up, but it can happen under moments of stress, boredom, frustration, etc. My stare can be very intense and focused. I'm not sure how noticeable it is though. It just feels this way to me since I know my stare used to feel different than it does now. This being said, I get distracted easily, which means it's often not wise to assume I'm actually listening. If you've been rambling for five minutes, that probably means I've checked out and I'm in my head. You can tell when I check out. One of my past therapists could pinpoint this, but I don't know what gave it away. Based on her feedback, my best guess is I seemed like I was in a trance and it showed in my eyes. I still have this tendency when I check out, but sometimes I check out to figure out what to say in response as well. To be honest, I actually have limited knowledge in relation to body language. This isn't a good thing to say as an aspiring writer. IP: Logged |

I've definitely noticed the thing about Scorpios being really good at eye contact. One of my best friends is a Scorpio, and she always looks really deep into my eyes when we talk, it's kinda unnerving, lol.Speaking as an Aquarius, I will say that I can always spot another person with heavy Aqua placements, because we have a tendency to exhibit a lot of nervous energy. Not necessarily like we're *actually* anxious, but our mannerisms are just very jittery and twitchy, almost like a child's, lol. We can be quite reserved, kinda just observing convos from the sidelines until we see a worthy opporunity to jump in, and then we won't shut up. We also have a tendency to pause in the middle of a sentence, glance elsewhere, briefly think about what we're going to say next, and then continue on. Literally EVERY Aqua-heavy person I've met does this. I've noticed with us that there's a constant, palpable theme of never really being "present" in the body because we're so consumed with what's going on in our heads. The first example of this that comes to mind is Adam Driver (Aqua rising); watch any interview with him and you'll see what I'm talking about. I've also noticed that Aries men in particular tend to have this massive swagger, and they exude an energy that just feels very base and sexual, very animalistic. They're always very sexy. And while this isn't necessarily a mannerism per se, I have noticed that Aries tend to be very passively cruel, or get very easily worked up. The same can be said of Scorpios, lol IP: Logged |
