Some websites even say they don’t complete their higher education until at some point in their 30s; what has been your experience?

Those are generalizations. It can’t be true for everyone.

9H Aquarius Saturn here. I went to university with a full ride scholarship at 17 and graduated at 21. As for the placement, from what I’ve read and has resonated personally is the potential for worry that the native “chose the wrong major” and should go back to school, make an adjustment. Obviously the major wasn't all-wrong because I was offered a hefty scholarship to attend, but Saturn native has its doubts regarding 9H in general. Haven’t had my Saturn return just yet but committing to a post-graduate program or getting a second degree in an entirely different field has been on my mind for years now. Hopefully I decide this year which course of action regarding this very thing. By my Saturn return, 2023, I should be back at uni.

Interesting...

My Saturn is in Scorpio on a 9th/10th house cusp, ironically as I read this i'm studying for a calculus exam. Thanks for the distraction as I'm slaughtering Calculus.

I think there could be some substance as this placement can lead to blockages early in life.

I certainty was blocked early in life.
My Cancer parents assumed that attempting to shelter me all the time was the always best approach when it actually just blocked me from becoming me.

Age really depends on the program.

Bachelor of Arts, Graduation age <= 24

Engineering, Medicine and professional degrees.
Graduation age >= Mid 20's.

FYI: Abstract Algebra and Computational Geometry is a pain in the neck, do not venture unless you dare.

If your interested in how passwords work take a look at Number Theory and Cryptography.

My head is still in math mode.

I have Saturn in the 9th house. This is not the first time I've heard this either. I am 25 and just completed my master's degree, so I don't think it's always true. I did have a lot of self doubt and questioning while getting both my masters and bachelors, but especially my masters.

Congratulations on the 2 degrees! Haha, I’m 22 and I’ll be graduating with an Honours Bachelor at 24-25! Maybe the 9th House Saturn Theory is dependent on the Decan of the Sign on the 9th House cusp.

If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you now? Or if you prefer, you can tell me your age group. How has life been for you without a college degree?

i think we need to get back to ancient wisdom about dignities of the planets and the strenght of the planet (rulership, house position and helping/not helping aspects. Your example is a good one. Saturn is dignified in Aquarius, so I would expect that he would bring to the 9th house the positive qualities of Saturn (discipline, structure, know how to comply with the professors/authorities require, ambition, aceptance of limitations when studying rather than enjoying life, and the endurance)

Saturn is not in my 9th house, but rules it. it is in fall in the 12. you would expect with those placements to be an academic failure. guess what? I have completed successfully 2 bachelors and 3 master degrees from recognized universities.

how this can be explained?.. well my super WEAK saturn has been helped all along by the most dignified planet of my chart MERCURY IN GEMINI in exact sextile to my Saturn. saturn-mercury in sextile gives the mental discipline and endurance to academic training.

So we always need to consider the chart in its integrity before making any such statement.

what i would like to add to my story is that saturn denies. if in the 9th, it denies something in that area.

I have accumulated academic degree, but the one degree i wanted to pursue was never possible, either because it was to difficult to get into the university i wanted, either because once i had the resources the opportunity was not there, or it was not anymore cost-effective to start the long endeavor after certain age.

so probable the reading is not about getting a degree, but about limitations in that area, which not necessarily should be read as not getting a degree at all.

Saturn is in my 9th, and it rules my 3rd. I didn't go to college - I was an agoraphobic teenager, who just wanted to do my thing at home, studying, working on things, until I got over it. When I was moved to Ohio, and I didn't want to be here, I was working my way through the SAT reading list, and wrote off for college catalogues from all over the country. I had wanted to go to art school in San Francisco, and a closer choice was the art institute in Pittsburgh, or a good art school in Baltimore, Maryland. I didn't go, but I wish that I had. I had other plans, that were also cancelled, unfortunately. Whenever I think I have a good plan put together, it gets stomped on - so I gave up on planning anything.

Teasel In which sign is your saturn? other than the sign, is your saturn afflicted?

my theory is
1. saturn denies wherever he is located
2. the denial does not necesarily means college degree but something in the 9th house is denied. even with a collegue degree, the person may not feel the total joy of the 9th house.
3. if saturn is well placed and well aspected it can provided what saturn is good at, meaning college degrees, but not necesarily the connection between the solar purpose. nine house is the house where the sun has its joy. so saturn her denies that solar expression.

It's in Cancer, and it's squared by Jupiter and Pluto. It's also inconjunct Neptune. It also widely squares my Mercury.

Out of curiosity, which degree is your Saturn Sign in, and which degree does your Placidus 9th House cusp begin at?

If you don't mind me asking, what led you to not pursuing academic higher education? Which sign and degree is your 9th House Saturn at? How is it aspected? Which sign and degree is on your Placidus 9th House cusp? Out of curiosity, what's your Mercury Sign, House Placement, and Aspect(s)? How is your 3rd House and its ruler?

I think it's 5*Cancer, and 12*Cancer for Saturn.

Saturn 7th degree in Cap. 3rd house has Jupiter and Chiron (cancer). I'm an expat so I was schooled in a foreign land for most of my early life. I became too sick in my late teens with chronic issues + extreme pain and bone issues. I'm "okayish" now.

I’m an expat, too. I was happier studying at home, after dropping out of high school, and then we moved overseas (to the US).

Saturn in Cancer is in exile. very weak position for saturn. the square to jupiter is tricky. on one hand it provide the inspiration and motivation to go for the things associated to the house where saturn is. On the other hand it reject any limitation impose by saturn. a weak saturn has not way to tell this jupiter dude what steps needs to do to follow the inspiration. he is weak. that would be better if jupiter is in Libra. is your saturn in Libra or Aries? I asume is in aries? with mercury square, actually that is not bad for studies, specially if in Libra as it would be in the sign of Saturn exaltation.
