“A Draconic chart is who you really are,
while natal chart is who you think you are after growing up, trying to fit into your environment, being exposed to society and life in general.” (Astrobutterfly website)

Why are draconic charts rarely mentioned ?
Astrologers seem to talk only of the Natal.
I’ve only seen Dracinic mentioned on Lindaland and the above website just now.

Do you seasoned astrologers “prefer” the Draconic?
Or do you use it in complement to the natal ?

Just thinking if we only identify with the natal (who we think we are) then telling someone about the Draconic may not resonate with a client ?

In what conditions would you use the Draconic ?

Utter nonsense.

Because that's how much mention they're worth. The Draconic zodiac is of a quite nebulous origin with supposed roots in ancient Babylonian texts.

The Draconic refers to another zodiac used to replace the tropical or sidereal one in the natal chart. So in a 'draconic chart' the only thing different is the zodiac. It is another way of rendering the natal. It is the natal cast with a zodiac that is measured by the Lunar Nodes rather than by the ecliptic or constellations.

I will speak only for myself. I give no importance at all to it and do not buy into the claims associated with it. I have looked into them enough to see all the usual indicators of sign-based reasoning and limitations at work simply repackaged with a 'new more exciting zodiac!'

None yet. If you've got a good, solid, scholarly book to recommend to me that outlines its foundations and proper application sans-superficial sign-based reasoning, then I'd like to know so I can read it.

A few years ago we had multiple threads going on the Draconic Chart. {You could use the LL google search to find them, if you wanted.}

The website www.astro.com has the Draconic chart option under 'Round' and the drop-list 'Chart Type'.. look all the way down to nearly the bottom of the list of types.

On same list, there's an option to view a drawing of your Natal chart with Draconic compared on the outside, like a synastry biwheel.

Some people like to use it when doing relationship charts.

I found it an interesting consideration.

oops! Didn't see that Kannon had responded to you, so I did.

Of course it's NOT "traditional" astrology--
but it's a fascinating experimental other-perspective to ponder. If it pings anything of worth to you, then, you have an added value in your astrological tools.

And agree with Kannon, that it's important to know and master the "traditional" charts, for your foundation in learning.
