Topic: Full Moon June 5 - Love Spell

So the full moon in Sagittarius on June 5 will be exactly conjunct my Venus in Sag. I was thinking it would be a good time to work a loooove spell  !!! But Venus is currently retrograde and I've never cast a love spell during Venus retrograde and kinda scared! Should I go for it? Anyone have experience with this?IP: Logged |

love spells are morally bankrupt unless mutually agreed upon and done together(which they typically aren't) during a retrograde would be even worse of an ideaIP: Logged |

technically wrong, any practicing occultist should have knowledge of astrology due to the how closely related all workings are with the universe working with your chart and what's currently going on only aids in manifestation, working against what is doesn't work out but working with it bears results IP: Logged |

I'd listen to Dumuzi here.Magical practice is pretty much based on astrological elections so obviously it fits here. However I don't think anyone should dabble with it unless they are very educated in the matter and certain of what they do. Magic is essentially the utilization of the consciousness which is sub/supra to our waking awareness. Love spells are typically aimed at manipulating someone in your favor without their awareness and most probably contrary to their own will. This is the definition of negative magic, and not positive. It is far better from the magical standpoint to simply send the person your pure love consciously, and wish them health and prosperity. If in a trance state, this channeling will be easier. The point is that the motivation is rooted in wishing them the best, based on genuine and pure heart chakra frequency, rather than wishing them to be your possession.
If anyone has a genuine interest to learn about magical practice I would recommend studying Franz Bardon's Initiation Into Hermetics first of all, before one goes into older material such as e.g. the Picatrix, Agrippa, etc. Austin Coppock also edited a book on the topic named The Celestial Art: Essays on Astrological Magic ( http://threehandspress.com/shop/the-celestial-art/ )

I listen some Time ago Justin Coppock talking about astrological magic during eclipses and he recommended against doing it unless you do it very general, like invocating the energy of planets to protect you, but never with a target objet in mind. that actually, the result could backfire.but as someone mentioned before with mercury in gemini and retrograde, not sure how this would bring anything positive.
