1. That it is a transit chart that marks only one moment within the day of solar return.

2. That it does not replace the birth chart.

3. That transits are ongoing and cannot be frozen in abridged form to determine what your entire year will be like.

Feeling overwhelmed and confused is common with this. It is a form of astro-anxiety. Ditch solar return charts. Go back to your birth chart and add the transits -- and get a report interpreting them if your astrological literacy is not up to the task.

I absolutely agree with this. I also feel like it takes more time than it's worth trying to read SR charts.

I never know what to make of mine, and I stopped paying attention to a lot of things (including articles on big transits), until the past year, because of the anxiety it can cause.

I have become interested in lunar return charts. I don't really read much into them, but I found it interesting that a chaotic chart brought a chaotic month (emotionally, sometimes more), and although it wasn't all smooth, Moon conjunct Venus brought some nice exchanges, and a crappy birthday, but a reminder of how many great friends I have, on that birthday.
