A lot of the Pluto in Scorpio generation are coming to terms with their struggles of power/powerlessness as children and it looks like they're adding new knowledge and resources in the field of psychology, childhood trauma and self-healing. This is pretty cool, this new generation has formalized different attachment styles from Secure Attachment Style, Dismissive Avoidant, Anxious Preoccupied, Fearful Avoidant and various shades in between. The more I listen to videos about these attachment styles, the fearful avoidant sounds very similar to many of the characteristics of a venus in scorpio, can be very intense, does the push and pull, doesn't trust easily, very intuitive to the point of super observational, grown up with traumatic childhoods, etc. Has anyone heard of these attachment styles and/or what are your thoughts about them? I know it won't be as easy as saying one attachment style is based on only one sign, but I'd be curious as to how a venus in libra or venus in aries would also exhibit the fearful avoidant attachment style. You didn't reference any researcher or author. The only person I'm aware of, who has done psychological/personality type of work for children and their astrology, is Alex Trenoweth. - http://alextrenoweth.co.uk/product/book-growing-pains-astrology-adolescence/ The research she did and APPLIED within the British School system, is brilliant. Even wrote a book on her research for Children who Kill. {preteenagers!} predictive I viewed a number of youtube interviews featuring her describing her work. IP: Logged |

I know quite a bit about attachment styles. I actually wish I didn't.... I think I've read more about this than I ever should have lol My opinion on this is that it Is not directly related to the person's astrological chart. I have known people who were very watery (with several water planets and Neptune aspects) who were... would you believe it.... dismissive avoidant :\ And I have also recently had the pleasure of meeting the least watery person I have ever known in my life (no planets in water signs, ascendant in Virgo, Moon in Capricorn square Saturn in Aries, amongst a bag of goodies)... and despite all this... he is actually fearful avoidant.... His emotions are very earthy, not watery.... but the pattern of behaviour is 100% fearful avoidant... falling deeply in love, being afraid of getting hurt, running, coming back, running again, coming back again, accusing me of being the one running - when I was literally just standing there patiently witnessing his one-man circus ... yeah.... I've looked at several charts and tried to find correlations with the attachment style... but... amazingly...... there don't seem to be correlations. IP: Logged |

Hmm... I suspected it wouldn't be so cut and dry. So basically many different elements/signs/aspects could have the same attachment styles based on their childhood attachment experiences. I find that fascinating, though I guess it's more of a existential puzzle than astrology
